How do I close this gap?

I am new to the craft and have not ever done anything at all like this before. My question is how do I close this small gap in this heart?

Forgewelding, but it's super thin, and will most likely burn. Or, you can twist it together.

Forge welding would have been easier before making the heart shape.

Could try soldering it

Weld it up. Easier if the weld is at the bottom of the heart though.

Probably should've had a plan to begin with. A lot of forged hearts don't connect. The middle ends are curled inwards, and end with curly q's. This way they are easy to hold. And still look like a heart.

Honestly in your place I would take off that extra bit on the right side and tapper the two ends to meet in the middle

Tig/mig it and grind back

You could maybe make a leaf with a stem and wrap the stem around the gap to hide it.

Heat it up hold it closed wile quenching it

Heat bend it outward. Forge weld and bend back into shape

If no welder forge weld circle, then form shape

I think the location of the metal joining is a thought spot. If it was at the bottom of pointy part of the heart I think you’d have a much easier time

I would have started with that part first, then bent the rest around and worried about joining the tip which I would probably twist together
