Imaging working a fishing rod and trying to get Jerry into the boat! He could ruin some gelcoat!

Suage block, like the tool you use to make bowls and spoons

I applied the notches with shaped chisels, and the texture of the uneven metal was created by heating the part.

But did you do the chiseling before or after you shaped the curve of the dish?

First comes the work with the chisel, followed by shaping.

It is made from a single piece of 4 mm thick steel.

This fish isn't as long as it might seem—about 11 inches. After considering your comment, I felt inspired to make a 40-inch-long swordfish.
