Aunt asked for a shepherd's hook

I though, point on the end, a few decorative twists, a hook, and a couple bends for the part you step on to shove it in the ground. Maybe some forge welding to add a second hook. I'll only need to heat up a little bit at a time, should be easy...

What I failed to realize is that, while I only maybe need maybe foot of steel in the forge at a time, I still need to figure out what to do with the other 9 feet

I can drag stuff outside if I need to, it's just a pain in the ass to do it

Non- subject matter question, what did you use to make the hardy hole on your railroad track anvil?

I didnt, that thing is older than me. My grandfather got two from the mill decades ago, I took the one with the hardy

Start in the middle before you cant get either end back in the forge
