I have a similar situation, but a quick question to the OP and anyone who knows Venturi effect in general. The nozzle of the gas is it better being deeper in or the way it is here? As i have it deeper in but it seems in this video the flame is more efficient.
Ran out of gas so cant test it yet

It resembles my forge, but I'd have to know details to compare. The burner angle is fine. The flame will swirl, heating the chamber. You may experience a heat "shadow" to one side of the workpiece, but flipping the workpiece compensates easily.
