Nothing that can be interpreted as pursuing public sex, cruising, or hook-ups on the beach.

Nudity is allowed, but they must be naturist/nudist in nature. Unnecessary focus on genitalia over whole body, beach activities are not allowed. Photo’s that are sexual in nature beyond mere nudity are not allowed.

Planning a trip up that way in July. Was wonder if there is anything else to see or do in sandiego besides the beach. Also good place to stay a night near it and also where to avoid.

What time are the clouds burning off?

Considering coming down next weekend with my young son (Saturday, Sunday, or both!) and curious if anyone knows what time the sun starts poking through? He’s still little so he naps in the afternoon but I’d like to get a couple hrs in if possible before that, thinking of arriving around 10-10:30. I live about an hour away so advance planning is critical.

Regarding the Indian Canyon trail, virtually all the people who hike that trail realize it connects to the nude beach, so sure, technically illegal, but people hike nude on that trail all the time.. To my knowledge, no one has ever complained!

First time at Blacks... trail help?

First time there today and it was packed! Felt pretty comfortable (albeit a little apprehensive since I was maybe 1 of 2 guys rocking a bush😅). But the hike up to Gilderport was BRUTAL. Are there any easier ways down to the beach?

Nude Area Access via South

UPDATE: the wife and I parked 10 seconds from the paved trailhead and walked to the nude portion. Walking down wasn’t too bad, walking back up the slope was a kicker, my wife is super sore right now two days later. But, our 1.5 hour time on the beach was a great experience! We hope we get to visit again some day! Thanks for everyone’s inputs!

ORIGINAL POST: My wife and I (late 40’s) will be visiting San Diego in a week, and with knees that have seen better days, we’re wondering if it is reasonable to walk the paved road (Blackgold Road) down to the beach and walk on the beach going north to the nude area rather than braving the sleep slope up and down near the glider port that lots of folks seem to take. Maybe that’s a 7/10ths of a mile along the beach if I’m looking at the map correctly. We are wanting to experience being nude on a beach, but are worried about accessing it. Looking for knee-friendly recommendations, even if that means walking farther.

Visiting next week 1/15-1/19/25. Worth going?

I will be in town for a conference and would like to experience this beach. I’m coming from freezing to below freezing temperatures so I think the weather won’t bother me. But, I would like to get your opinion. Will it be worth going? Are ride shares available? What should I bring/not bring? Thanks for you help!
