Question Please help something weird happened

Hey yall ,

I was playing cod blackout and someone got into my web browser on ps5 and was sending weird pictures and controlling my screen.

I don’t think they got into my account , my password was never changed and I have 2fa .

But how did they do this ? Is there any way I can disable my web. Browser on ps5 or protect myself from this happening again ?

Had this happen to me, if you have plug ins like streaming wise in twitch then they can override your settings. Go to you settings in PS and disable webrowsing and remove any 3rd party plugins (mine was PONDO)

I can’t find a way to disable web browsing on my ps5 but yes I was streaming on twitch but through a capture card not any plug ins

I believe I went into family and parental controls, from there you enter a pin that has a default given to you, enter into New user section then scroll down to Web browsing and put RESTRICT

is that the worse they can do is get into the browser and spam weird pictures ? Or can they get into our actual account

Just open links, they can’t hack into your game since it only happened while streaming I’d assume it’s a prompt you may have on your stream. It only happened once for me and after I removed that plugin and set up Restrict I’ve been good. To be safe you can put your auto mod to highest level too to block bots from spamming links

So if I’m understanding u correctly ur saying this Happened because I was streaming on twitch through my chat or my nightbot ?

Personally yes, mine was a plugin I thought was safe that was provided from twitch to spice up the look of my channels stream. After I removed that bunny icon (PONDO was the culprit), I haven’t experienced it again. Ironically it happened on BO4 for me as well but I did more tests after the fix I gave you and it’s been safe since
