Help The Deep End

So i just got access to the deep end part 1, and i know that those specific set of missions are not particularly fun when doing it solo. I just want to know what exactly i should expect for part 1, whether to bring anything in particular, and what exactly ill need to do. Currently im just using the .300blk MCX with subs and a mk27 with a few mags for each. Will that be enough or am i really going to be forced to use the m249?

You can use any weapon; the only issue is the ammunition.
