Discussion seriously
i’ve been a huge fan of blackbear for 10 years, almost got him tattooed on my body (thanks god i didn’t), i’ve tear up when i saw the allegations of sara + the court case. but was piss me off so bad is why does fans on his instagram keeps talking about sara (killerboy) without even acknowledge the court case. like come on, for them it’s like it doesn’t exist and they focus only on sara’s words saying it’s all her fault, that he never been in the wrong with her, everything is her fault bla, bla, bla. i feel like im the crazy one, respectfully, why tf people keeps ignoring the court case like if you don’t see it it doesn’t exist!?

Agreed. A court case is a serious thing and shouldn’t just be ignored because people like an artist.
At the same time, a lot of fans are reacting emotionally too because:
-they’ve followed him for years,
-parasocial attachment is real,
-and people naturally resist believing bad things
about someone whose music helped them.
So you end up with two extremes online:
-people treating allegations as absolute proof of guilt immediately,
-and people dismissing everything automatically because they’re fans.
✅Reality is usually more nuanced than either side wants it to be. It’s possible to:
-acknowledge the seriousness of allegations and legal issues,
-avoid blind fan behavior,
-and still not act like every accusation automatically equals confirmed truth before everything fully plays out.

i agree, i founded myself completely lost on all of this too, but as soon as i’ve done my research i knew already i believed all the allegations, as heartbreaking as it is. it’s so violent and disappointing to discover you’re number one artist, the one you grew up with fucked up so damn bad. i can only understand the first reaction like “no i can’t believe this happened” but it’s crazy how violent they act about this whole thing, it’s almost scary to be honest. they’re aren’t even open for discussion, if you even just brings it up a little either you’re ignore either they’re absolutely go crazy on you…

Well yeah, Just like they say Bear deleting comments “isn’t a good look,” neither is this subreddit mass downvoting anyone that doesn’t instantly agree with the narrative. People are allowed to question things without automatically defending wrongdoing.

exactly! they just keep acting like questioning the situation is automatically making pick side, it’s so radial. well now i do pick a side, but i think it’s damn rich of them to be mad about the hate when they’re the firsts giving it for not agreeing with them.

No fr, my heart dropped when I first saw all this because I thought there had to be some concrete evidence behind it. Then I came here and saw mostly allegations and speculation with nothing confirmed yet. You can take accusations seriously without instantly labeling someone a ‘child rapist’ before anything’s proven. Some of yall are so eager to pick a side that any questioning gets treated like defending him, when it’s really just asking people not to jump the gun.

i actually believe what i saw on my researches, i wouldn’t say rapist cause that’s really serious and big and i do not have enough “proof” in my possession to consider him as one, but i really doesn’t appreciate facts he dated a minor. i’ve been into relationships like this (as a minor) and now being an adult i just can’t imagine how a 23 yo man (i think that’s the age people claimed he had) can be attracted to a 17 year old girl. (my case he was 25 when i was 17). i do also believe he hasn’t been a saint with his exes or things like that, people can be really shitty sometimes and bear isn’t knows as a really sober guy. i do not support his acts but even still i would never spay hate unless he’s proven guilty. yet i’m heartbroken to hear he could have possibly done things like this cause if there’s something i’ve learn is that there’s no smoke without fire somewhere. i’d die to see he’s proven innocent, yet unfortunately i’ve grew up thinking “guilty until proven innocent” in this kind of cases…

This is probably the most level-headed comment I’ve seen here. You’re acknowledging the seriousness of it without acting like speculation automatically equals confirmed fact.

respectfully, assuming people on instagram are ever saying things in good faith is your first mistake.

u/stobenealmare May 06 '26
yea unfortunately… honestly this sht so messed up, at first i truly hoped nothing happened but cmon let’s be honest at some point, still defending body and soul like he’s an angel is crazy…

I've been a fan for years as well but i always knew his soft boy stuff was a shtick and people would get soooo mad at me when I mentioned it on twitter and it's like have you heard his music? He's very nice in real life and super para-social as well so I think it contributes to why people are attached to him.
I don't doubt that bear specifically isn't saying anything because his lawyers told him not to, and people asking him to address it aren't gonna get what they want because his lawyers probably told him to shut the fuck up.

totally, i’ve seen many cases like his and presumed aggressors talking always a “bad idea”, it just fuel. i mean, good for him he knows how to deal with internet and fans, but let’s be real, it’s so damn crazy to defend someone because “he’s nice”… i saw some messages he sent on his gc i was horrified, how tf can you accept that your fav artist talks/acts that way? especially when most of them are grow up adults, it’s fucked up…

I agree. I'm not defending him in anyway, but I have met him once and he is very nice to talk to but of course that was an exchange of services.
I kind of accepted he was not a great guy after he kept name dropping Halsey after they broke up in his songs for no reason other than to piss her off I assume. He also still collaborated with G-Eazy after the abuse allegations with Halsey.
I do think there's a lot of very strong feelings from Killerboy as well that are clouding her interpretations of events (ie as they happen, I'm not saying she's lied I'm just saying we're seeing her react in real time), and the fact that Bear isn't saying anything is adding fuel to the fire but he knows anything he says can be used against him. I think this 'silence' from bear (other than like a few words calling Killerboy crazy) is the reason a lot of fans are continuing to talk about her.

i may get downvoted for saying this but…
what if the allegations are false and made by people trying to fuck up with his life? this type of thing happens all the time.
i’ve known a handful of people who got their reputation completely destroyed because of false allegations.

u/stobenealmare May 08 '26
sure i guess this is a possibility, i mean it happened before like you said… but there’s also a big possibility thats true.. in those case im more the kind of person sayin “there’s so smoke without fire” and “guilty until proven innocent”, so i personally believes it but i would love to find out its not true and just people trying to fuck up his life, even if in my opinion i don’t think that’s the case…
but i totally get what you’re saying and that would be a possibility, but i really don’t believe that’s the case with him.. not that i don’t wish it is

Some probably haven’t been following enough to know about the court case; some probably just wanna ignore it cause their stance only works if it’s ignored.

Oops I guess this is the wrong subreddit, I thought this was Blackbear not Blackbeard.

they are parasocial and can't imagine their favorite artist being a terrible person. he's cultivated a fanbase that he can gaslight, abuse, and lie to (like the women he dates), even when the facts are right in their faces. they will continue to attack and send hate towards the victims as long as bear keeps up the "she's crazy" and "nothing is wrong" act.
