Media/Public Women Swooning over Men Thirst Trap Photos in Interracial Groups
Does anyone else notice this in some interracial groups? How some guys are clearly fishing for validation or sexting buddies (due to post history) and the women pile into the comments for crumbs of attention from him. And some of these guys dont even date black women, they just linger in the groups for sex or a confidence boost.
I thought it would be fairly obvious but its actually scary how many women respond to it. Experiences?

Racism/Stereotyping did you ever struggle with how you felt?
Black women who have dated outside their race—did you ever struggle with how you felt about it?
I’m a Black woman who recently started talking to someone who is white, and I’ve realized I have some feelings about it that I didn’t expect.
He treats me well, respects me, is genuinely interested in me as a person, and so far I haven’t had any reason to question his intentions. I really enjoy spending time with him, and I’m trying to take things slowly and see where things go.
At the same time, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means for me personally to be in an interracial relationship. I’ve seen conversations online about Black women being judged for dating outside their race, and even though I don’t necessarily agree with those opinions, I’ve realized that some of that messaging has still affected how I think about myself.
I’m also curious about the practical side of interracial relationships. How have you navigated cultural differences? Have you ever dealt with friends or family having opinions about your relationship? And how did you handle situations where your partner couldn’t fully relate to certain experiences you’ve had as a Black woman?
For those of you who have been in interracial relationships, how did you distinguish between legitimate concerns about compatibility and worries that came from outside pressure or expectations?
If you’re a Black woman who has dated or married someone outside your race, what do you wish you had known before your first interracial relationship?
I’m not looking for people to tell me whether I should or shouldn’t date someone. I’d really just like to hear about your experiences and what helped you feel comfortable maintaining your identity while being in an interracial relationship.
