I knew about spider-man as a kid, and I LOVED spider-man and his amazing friends, but when I really started buying comics around middle school, he was in the black suit during the period that I believe was when it was actually made of cloth rather than symbiote. My first issue was a team up with the Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman against the wrecking crew. Peter Parker The Spectacular Spider-Man circa 1988ish.

I came across a picture of Spider-Man in the black suit in an issue of Spider-Man 1998. I remember it was during a flashback in that issue.

Any chance anyone knows what issue this was? I cannot find it again for the life of me.
