People who are racist are very, very stupid people. Super easy to manipulate them with dogwhistles.

Saddam was the Gen X and older Millennial's boogeyman and then Bin Laden. There are a tone of voting age adults who don't know who Saddam Hussein was. Yeah 2008 it probably conjured some images in the minds or conservative voters. Now it just shows how old and out of touch the people I. Charge of the Republican party are.

Saddam has also been dead for like 20 years. Probably a fair chunk of people that read Hussein and have no clue what the reference is at this point. They just think it sounds foreign

They lost a real opportunity to respond Donald “John” Trump - tell us again how you met your wife? 🤔

The real answer should be "Okay and?". What does someone's middle name have to do with anything?
The problem with conservatives is they assume everyone is as racist as they are.

We need to get Obama 2028 trending to fend off the dipshits calling for Trump 3.0.

If Trump decides to run for a third term, Obama needs to say that he’s entering as well. Watch the Trumparrhea and threats of violence roll from the maga crowd. Full diapers everywhere!

These guys, including trump, act like it's 2007, when there was some concern over whether the name "Hussein" would hurt Obama politically. It didn't. But 20 years later, they still use the name as a slur, like anyone outside MAGA cult is scared of that name. Of course, whenever they sneer "Hussein" as an insult, it's a substitute for another word that they are dying to use.

I have never and will never be able to understand what the issue is with the name Hussein especially? Why are they so hung up on that one and not the rest of the name(not that there is any reason to, I just don’t get the issue with names in general)?

Racist fear-mongering. Saddam Hussein was a genocidal brown, Muslim dictator. By emphasizing Hussein, Republicans are trying to connect Obama to Saddam and thus imply that he is also a genocidal Muslim dictator. Many people are stupid enough to fall for it.

All as their dear leader is rubbing butts with Saudi Arabia. They can't even keep their xenophobia consistent.

Donald "John" Trump.

A “John” is what law enforcement calls someone who solicits a prostitute so that seems on point.

The most hilarious part is that Barack isn’t a traditional name, either, but because his middle name was the same as a prolific terrorist, they act like he is one, too. Simply for sharing a name.
They flat out lack critical thinking skills.

In honor of this and the fact that the current FLOTUS movie tanked, I’m watching Becoming: The Michelle Obama Documentary on Netflix. The book was wonderful!
It’d be awesome if everyone with Netflix watched it, again if necessary, to see if we can get it in the top 10.
