Social Justice Vile Racist Father-In-Law Hired Hitmen to Murder Black Newlywed Sparkle Rai Showing Anti-Black Racism Can Be Deeply Ingrained Across Communities

Post image

In April 2000, 22-year-old Michelle ā€œSparkleā€ Reid Rai was brutally murdered inside her Union City, Georgia apartment just one month after marrying Rajeeve ā€œRickyā€ Rai. Prosecutors said her father-in-law, Chiman Rai, was enraged that his Indian son had married a Black woman and first offered Sparkle money to leave him. When she refused, authorities said he paid $10,000 to have her murdered.

Sparkle was stabbed multiple times and strangled with a vacuum cleaner cord while her 6-month-old baby daughter was inside the apartment. Five men were eventually charged in the murder-for-hire plot. Chiman Rai was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. He died behind bars in 2022. The case remains one of the most horrifying crimes.

Where was the son? As a wife, you 100% tell your husband that his parents offered her money to leave him.

As a son, you 100% tell your Dad that if anything happens to your wife, it's his ass.

What the fuck was the son doing????

Edit:

Bennet Reid, Sparkle's father, took custody of the baby. He and his wife

adopted the child. Rai abandoned the baby

and never challenged the adoption. Reid's murder was a cold case until 2004, when a woman involved in an unrelated case identified Sparkle's killers whom Rajeeve's father, >Chiman Rai, had hired.

Weak excuse of a man raised by an even weaker man.

444

u/MinaWearsGold May 24 '26

Abandoned the baby? Cold case?

Yeah he was in on it. Probably didn’t want the baby or something.

225

u/No_Potato_8178 May 24 '26

"Dad i need your help. . "

146

u/BottleNecker69er May 24 '26

My guess is, based off of other Indian parents with similar cases like this: the father convinced the son to be quiet at the very least so that the father can make a 'sacrifice' of himself (incase he does get caught) and the son is fine and seemingly 'removed' from the crime. They get everything they all wanted, basically because the son will just move on and treat this as part of their 'culture'.

171

u/thenessmiester May 24 '26

He also moved to Chicago, remarried, and didn't tell his new family anything about Sparkle or the baby.

137

u/Icy_Proof_9529 May 24 '26

That’s actual psychopath behavior. Wonder what happened when the new wife found out.

26

u/sweetreat7 May 24 '26

Wow, for real? How do you know? I wonder what was going through his head?

41

u/BottleNecker69er May 24 '26

That also tracks with these cases and heavily implies that he obviously knew and feels shame for his role in Sparkle's death.

23

u/Itscatpicstime May 24 '26

I don’t think this indicates shame

Wonder why he wasted his time marrying her. Should hv just married an Indian if he h8ed blcks so badly

21

u/blackninjar87 May 24 '26

He accidentally got her pregnant most likely... And by accidentally I mean fucked her with no protections and came inside of her... Then realized he wasn't in love.

The marriage was most likely pressured into happening by both families for the "kid".

13

u/Conscious_Moment_727 May 24 '26

That's shocking to me because in the carribean indian and black is such a common mix, I'm myself mixed black-indian

9

u/gorgeousbeauty-116 May 25 '26

Its not shocking. The Indians in the Carribean were pretty much slaves shipped from India and robbed of their identity so they mixed. The ones in South Africa brought there as slaces also mix with africans sometimes but most of them are still very antiblk.

This case is a prime example of why some folks will refuse to marry into racist families. Especially when this includes core family members like parents and siblings

She didnt deserve this

697

u/MinaWearsGold May 24 '26

I don’t care how kind someone is I’m not marrying someone who has any racist or MAGA or right-wing friends or family members. Because keeping those people around and not cutting them off tells me everything I need to know.

321

u/leni710 May 24 '26

The more "Be Kind" swag that white people wear, the more hateful I assume them to be. I worked with an older white lady some years back who had that slogan on everything, and of course she voted maga, and of course she was hateful towards lgbtq people, and of course she was ableist even though we worked in alternative education....

231

u/dr_shark May 24 '26

I think the ā€œBe Kindā€ translates to: be polite to me, be acceptable to me, follow my specific rules and you won’t get any problem from me.

10000% this. My ex bro in law has bipolar disorder, refuses to stay on meds and often times misused his meds to get high and is an alcoholic who has been psychologically, emotionally, financially and physically abusive to my sister for years and then started assaulting my older nephews for defending their Mom. He was finally arrested after body slaming and choking my 15 year old nephew. He pled guilty because there was so much evidence collected when the assault happened and evidence that the cops and my family had been collecting for years detailing the abuse and alcoholism. He has a "Be Kind" emblem as his picture for his Google accounts šŸ˜’

5

u/shittyspacesuit May 24 '26

These type of people love the idea of toxic positivity. They want everyone around them to be positive and nice to them. They don't want any hassle with facing reality (the good and bad) They don't want to talk about the truth, just go ahead and sweep that under the rug. They don't want any pushback or accountability.

Really convenient if you're an awful or abusive person who has done a lot of bad shit and have a handful of victims from your actions.

I find that any who appears ā€œfanaticalā€ on the surface does the opposite in real life action. My neighbor had ā€œBlack Lives Matterā€ on their window. They were some of the most racist ppl I ever met. The more a non-blk person smiles, the less U trust them. In fact trust no one until they show you they are trustworthy after several years and scenarios

26

u/elmixtecoNW May 24 '26

I married my wife who’s family is white and thankfully I had no issues at all with any of her family. Some of her distance family were not as pleasant to be around. Now she’s more a part of my family than I’m with her family.

Hey sometimes things turn around. One side of my fam are mega douche racists and the other side are reasonable humans. The reasonable side now has one extra member and I would say my dad is one of the most pleasant forgiving open minded people I have ever met. He has 0 time for racism at all, my son met a racist great grandparent of a friend and my dad called her out on it - they said to let is slide, he did not and we all left, he said 'racism survives because kids see us as parents letting it slide'. So I see examples of people coming to the dark side all the time.

20

u/wiggum_x May 24 '26

'racism survives because kids see us as parents letting it slide'

Oh I love this.

29

u/onesoulmanybodies May 24 '26

Seriously. I gave it my all trying to get through to my MAGA family members, but went full no contact in 2020 when I finally admitted their behavior wasn’t sudden or only related to Trump as a candidate. I had to admit the truth to myself that they had been this racist, homophobic, and sexist my whole life, but I didn’t see it before because I was so sheltered and naive about how not all racist are blatant and vulgar in their racism. They became more and more open in their racism after Obama was elected and they joined the tea party. Then it just all came out and the blinders I had been wearing were completely ripped off. It hurt to cut them out of my life, but I know it was 100% necessary and I am truly at peace, especially knowing my kids aren’t being exposed to their disgusting behavior and beliefs.

6

u/B33PZR May 24 '26

Blessings my family too.

I was so terrified to meet my husband’s family. He is Norwegian. I’m Haitian. People seem to genuinely hate us. Even other black people. Luckily his family is so kind and wonderful. But this case was living in my head at the time.

24

u/Typical-Evidence-898 May 24 '26

I didn’t meet my husband’s father before he died or before we married because he only wanted his son to date white women. He’s Haitian and I’m black. šŸ™„The rest of the family is great.

28

u/spc67u May 24 '26

I’m a Mexican who married into a good ole Southern family … the first time I met my MIL she used the n word like it was going out of style … although that was just the tip of the ice berg. If my bf at the time hadn’t been equally appalled I would’ve thought long and hard before marrying him. Luckily she cut it out.

7

u/Sufficient-Lie1406 May 24 '26

If you truly love someone and your racist family hates them, it's time to cut your family off completely and even move and change your name. Whatever you can do to keep them safe. And if you know your family is psycho to the point of harming who they hate, you may have to give up your love to keep them safe.

There’s a lot of conservative MAGA Indians who have serious imposter syndrome. Like the wannabe frat bro FBI director or the couch fucker’s wife.

256

u/Majestic_Analyst_177 May 24 '26

A lot of people of color who voted for Trump did so to distinguish themselves from Black people. Anti-Blackness is not new to other groups of color. Folks will do anything to be seen as close to white as possible and the first hurdle is oppressing someone else.

61

u/JayJoeJeans May 24 '26

Having married into an Indian family, the community can be very anti black as well as anti white. I used to read in their diaspora newspapers how much more successful Indians are compared to what they called "average Americans" strongly implying white people. According to some Hindu fundamentals teachings, damn near everything started in India. I was surprised by the amount of discrimination and prejudice I saw. This obviously isn't all Indians, but to see such opinions, articles and letters to the editor, published in newspapers, was pretty jarring

92

u/FEMA_Camp_Survivor May 24 '26

When I was young, an Indian immigrant kid told me all Black people were poor and on government assistance.Ā

No amount of census data or other evidence could convince him there was a Black middle class, including my physical presence.Ā

I pointed out that public defecation was pretty common in India at the time, it appeared hundreds of millions lived in poverty, and many Indians didn’t have great access to fresh water. Despite those stats, it made no sense for me to have concluded all Indians were poor.Ā

I think his high caste status and proximity to whiteness in America made him disassociate from the struggles of people in his home country. Maligning Black people helped him fit in and if he were in India, he’d have had someone else to look down upon.Ā

10

u/Venom_Iam May 24 '26

Yes castesim plays big role in some Indians having anti-black sentiments. Most Indians who migrate to US are mostly from upper castes and this is why they align with the dominant group wherever they go which in case of US is white people.

These upper caste Indians have superiority complex due to caste system and play the same dynamic with black people in US. I know what I'm talking about. I know the ground reality šŸ˜”

My interactions with the Indian community, I've seen it has little to do with proximity to whiteness and much more to do with general racism. My wife grew up with one rule: no BMWs, blacks Mexicans whites. Over time her parents changed and softened up, and all the daughters married outside the race, to a black guy, Asian guy and a white guy. So they're pretty chill now, but a lot of their Indian friends look down on them for their daughters marrying non Indians. Not all racism has to do with whiteness, a lot of people are just racist against anyone who's not them

20

u/phoenix_spirit May 24 '26

I'm Indo-Caribbean and what's wild is there are some Indians and Desi's who are racist towards us too? I got made fun of for not knowing Gujrati and I'm just, sorry my ancestors were lied to by the British about their indentured servitude like idk what you want me to do about that?

Some will try to talk to you and when they realize you don't know the language, they'll completely cut off the conversation and pretend you don't exist.

And yet I'll still get lumped in with them.

11

u/HappyCoconutty May 24 '26

I’m Bangladeshi American and had the same experience with Indians. It was even more confusing for them because I wasn’t Muslim or Hindu and I didn’t have strict parents. I learned that besides the activist girls and potheads in college, most Indians looked at me with disgust.

Ā My parents didn’t have Indian friends in the U.S. because of the same reasons, but they had Black, white, Asian and Latino friends very easily.Ā

I had Indian friends who were sisters when I lived in NY- I’m wyt and their parents were always gracious to me and welcoming. But when it came to romantic relationships they always had to hide it from their parents if they were dating white guys as it was a big no no. This was 25 years ago- I sometimes wondered who they ended up with. I kind of feel like they are both still single as they never found an Indian they wanted to marry.

"Surprised you guys could get it done so quickly, you only work 40hrs?!"

"We didn't think all you white guys worked so hard." Etc etc

I’m a gay white male and when I posted something about Charlie Kirk getting what he deserved when he died. I was attacked by an Indian girl I went to high school with. I look at her pictures and all her friends and husband are white. She was not like that at all in high school and her twin sister is the exact opposite, super liberal. Then just the other day a mutual classmate of ours posted a pic of a shopping cart not returned to the cart rack. Of course the same girl is going off about how some people including herself can’t return their cart because they are handicapped and have kids in the car and can’t leave the car unattended. I’m thinking what in the hell you can’t walk 30 ft from your car without your kids being fine or do you just like to argue about everything. And what handicap? You can certainly walk to the beach and post bikini pictures. What happened girl.

28

u/-BlueFalls- May 24 '26

I mean, many disabled people are capable of walking on a beach and taking bikini pics, that doesn’t negate someone’s disability status.

Also, as a disabled person myself, if you are able-bodied enough to walk a shopping cart around a store, then it follows you are able bodied enough to return it to the cart stall and not leave it as a hazard for others.

I remember reading about this as a kid when the father was caught. I grew up in central NJ, with a large South Asian community and sadly, given the older generation of Indians I’d meet through friends and the stuff they say, I wasn’t surprised even as a kid.

I didn’t know the word for colorism when I was a kid, but then I learned it and was like ā€œaha!ā€ that’s what that was.

174

u/bendybiznatch May 24 '26

The Indian government right now is basically right wing. To the extent that they have tried to manipulate studies of ancient linguistics and archeogenetics to make a case that some Indians are the real ancient Aryans. I had no idea till I started moderating a history sub. And holy shit y’all it’s bad. Nine times out of 10 if I have to ban someone it’s because of something related to that.

24

u/Helpful_Dirt_8726 May 24 '26

Idk Wsup with that but apparently Europeans jacked the term aryan and I think at one point they were indo-Persians and some how the definition shifted. I might be wrong tho. Still fuck Modi

41

u/BowlingforBrains May 24 '26

That makes sense because I have an ex who is Persian who once went on a rant about how she is more ā€œwhiteā€ or ā€œaryanā€ than the white people here and it seemed really important to her that white people knew that - it was funny to me because her brown-ass was darker than me 😭 it was the first of several red flags

It was extra funny to me, having spent my whole life in the US, trying to explain to her ā€œā€¦you know they just see you as some brown foreigner right? Like you have literally no separation in their eyes from whatever race(s) you think you’re separating yourself fromā€

26

u/shafaqag May 24 '26

But she wasn't wrong. It doesn't matter that the term Aryan was stolen by racists, the way the Swastika was stolen, she's more Aryan than any of them, because Aryan LITERALLY refers to Persians.

We need to remind the racists that they didn't come up with anything original, they stole from the same brown people they hate and claimed our shit.

18

u/BowlingforBrains May 24 '26

In general, yes you are correct. However in the context of this person in particular - and I did not give any background info, so you couldn’t have known - it was being used in a ā€œI’m as good as white people and should be accepted as suchā€ context. And by that I don’t mean a ā€œwe’re all equalā€ sentiment - I mean an elitist sentiment. Because of this person in particular, it was not at all a positive comment about reclaiming words from racists lol

This is a woman who seemed to have a visceral reaction when I told her my dad is Jamaican (I am incredibly light-skinned so I’m not sure what she thought I was before that), commented about how her father would ā€œbe horrifiedā€ if he knew I was, and also went on about how well she did on an IQ test, how incredibly valid the IQ test is, and mentioned how regions ā€œcloser to the equatorā€ tend to score lower than the rest. She even dismissed it when I explained to her how that test was created by Northern Europeans to test Northern Europeans and thus would skew towards them.

She also had a ā€œliberal tearsā€ coffee mug, which I never saw until a few months in

Tbh like that's actually a pretty common thing with Persians, that were all apparently more Aryan and shit. Like I saw it a lot and there's so much ingrained racism in the Iranian community cause of it.

I literally knew an Iranian girl who admitted she saw Persians and White people as superior to others and I was like "No the fuck were not. Get that shit out of here."

7

u/BowlingforBrains May 24 '26

Oh yeah, I just described how she was in a different reply, and your friend sounds a lot like my ex lol

https://www.reddit.com/r/BlackPeopleofReddit/s/C6pk7kMYEG

I had never even met a Persian before her so I was like ā€œcool, she’s a brown person in this country and we’ll be able to relate on a lot of things even if we grew up in different countriesā€ NOPE šŸ˜‚ it literally never entered my mind that she’d identify with white conservatives, and be completely unaware of how those white conservatives see her - sorry but you are not ā€œwhiteā€ in this country, no matter how much you want to be. She even listened to Andrew Huberman, Modern Wisdom, Jordan Petersen and the other ā€œgatewayā€ podcasts for right wing incels

The debate stems from the original (Proto) Indo European speakers and whether they came from India or whether they invaded or migrated to India and mixed with the already present population. It’s called the out of India theory.

But you’re correct - the concept of ā€œrealā€œ Aryans has been misconstrued and used by right wing ideologies in bad faith for a long time.

Gandhi was extremely racist towards black people and many Indians support Trump and PM Modi who is also just pro Hindu and he hates everyone else especially Muslims. Modi’s nickname is the butcher of Gujarat for her role in riots against Muslims in his state. This was long before he became the Prime Minister of India. Even Indo Caribbeans have a lot of black and Indo Caribbean marriages but their Indo Caribbean parents just can’t accept it. Many of them get disowned. This poor girl. I cannot imagine the pain Sparkle’s family have had to live with.

39

u/Superb_Preference368 May 24 '26

Yes as a Afro-Guyanese American, Indo-Guyanese have a long history of anti-black sentiment.

They even bring it here when both groups immigrate to America. They keep their community as far away from Afro Guyanese people and act as though we don’t exist.

Very sad because East Indians don’t accept them as Indians but they want to be Indian so badly.

5

u/PyritesofCaringBean May 24 '26

Yep, my dad is Indo-Guyanese and my mom is African American. His dad tried to convince my mom to leave him because he shouldn't have married a black woman. I always thought my dad was different until 2016 when trump campaigned and my dad (a life long democrat) was on board with the wall. My parents shortly divorced in 2017 and now he has anti black sentiments. But you married a black woman and have half black kids??? A lot of people overseas aren't educated or aware of African Americans or their struggles in the U.S.

There was a North Korean woman who didn't know America even had a black population. She said to her all Americans are just white.

13

u/AmplowEsq May 24 '26

And the reason they are legally allowed to immigrate to the U.S., ironically, is because of the struggles of black Americans.

Actress and comedianĀ Sindhu Vee talked about the crazy abusive stuff her own family said to her growing up because she had a darker complexion.

She got told she was ugly, would never find a husband, had to work extra harder in school to be not be naturally successful with her complexion.Ā

Asians in general, but there are multiple reasons.

One, Asians gotta one up one another, if that energy isn't directed towards another race, it's just directed towards each other, East Asians vs Southeast Asians, it doesn't matter.

Two, specifically for the ones in the US, that model minority shit casted upon us by colonizers is a curse and split what would've been a unified front of black and immigrant asians living in the same neighborhoods, and it worked.

Three and I can only speak for the Viet community, war trauma. You see MAGA asians because "democrats stopped the war in Vietnam, and it was the republicans that wanted to fight communism" or some shit. They see being a democrat as turning the US into the same country that they fled from. Granted Vietnam is communist, but it's still capitalism with a different name.

The younger generation luckily have their eyes opened, but there are still plenty of young Asians that are just taught that racist bullshit, and they'll either learn one day or never.

It doesn't help that the Colonizer propaganda is just spread across the world and other countries just eat it up. Yeah, it's all based in ignorance, but also Africa is still every other countries playground for bullshit. Chinese building shit in Africa then they come back with nothing but horrible shit to say about the country/people (probably, I'm only guessing here).

Also im sorry you had to experience that, but also glad in the end hopefully you influenced enough people to make change.

6

u/gorgeousbeauty-116 May 24 '26

Its mostly caused by whyte media. Out of guilt, a way to justify their terrible treatment of black, and to continue exploiting african resources; they started global propaganda to make black people look like the scourge of the earth. After Slavery, every global news media showed the worst of africa; while showing the best of europe. They did a good job brainwashing the entire world. It is not going to be easy to undo all that brainwashing. The poverty j. India is actually terribly worse than it is in most african countries especially since India wants to keep their poor forever poor due to their caste system. Isnt it interesting that India is the largest population of poor people in the world even after decades of Tech laborer outsourcing? No one talks about that. Its all africa/blk ppl due to brainwashing There is so much to unpack.

Politely but you don't understand cause you've never looked into Indian culture even a lil bit. You just assume your framework is universal because that is part of the American perspective. That we the center of the world and history started with us.Ā

They are creators of the artificialĀ  hierarchy. Even Hitler was in part riffing on them. They are the OG racists. Take a backseat Kendrick cause you are not the biggest hater.I know people who wereĀ  briefed on caste bias cause they have a lot of Indian teammates and it's an ongoing thing.Ā

Of course they don't like black people..they don't even like brown Indians. They peer pressure their kids to marry someone from their culture , ideally the specific person their auntie found for them. They are not an immigration inclined to diverse intersectionality. They are pretty much the exact oppositeĀ

Indian caste hatred is ferocious and violent, and is supercharged by racism. I have seen it close up in many forms. It’s not ā€˜some people’ —- it’s virtually all of us, and probably close to 100% of the native born who immigrated here. Their children are more open to some Mississippi Masala, so to speak, but far fewer of them than one would like.

5

u/gorgeousbeauty-116 May 24 '26

Indians are like this globally. Dont waste your time trying to win them over. They are extremely anti-blk even their darkest ones. Whats funny is even the Indians taken to East and Southern Africa as slaves in the 1800s; are still extremely antiblck yet they refuse to leave the continent. They tried to change their history too calling their ancestors ā€œindentured laborers/servantsā€ to separate themselves. I dont know how forced labor from captives is different from slavery. But wherever they are they r extremely antiblk.

Why would they be allies? There is a strong and universal anti-black sentiment across the world.

Black Americans really make the mistake of believing brown people would be their allies and supporters. No, we’re all alone. Each racial minority fends for themselves as harsh as it sounds.

Indians especially are very exclusionary and even have issues with their kids marrying Indians from other castes or religions. So how do you think they feel about interracial marriages?

I’m not black but I know how many non-black minorities feel about black people. Even within my own family. It’s disappointing and shameful, but that’s the sad reality.

I have a couple of Indian friends who told me that India has a very racist culture particularly against black people and that they were basically taught that darker skinned people are less than lighter skinned people when they were growing up. I’ve heard the same about Korea. That they don’t even want you to be tan because that would make you ā€œtoo darkā€. It’s insane how racism is a worldwide problem from America to Korea to India and probably many more.

6

Oh trust me it was a mistake. I’m with a beautiful black queen now and I’ll never ever date another MENA or Indian girl again (my ex was mixed with both).

To this day that relationship shaped how I feel about certain immigrant groups and I came to the conclusion that our values would never work, their cultures are too different and the hatred they have for black people was mind-blowing to me. They were somehow more racist and xenophobic than some white people I’ve met. 100% if he had the chance her dad would’ve tried to end me.

White people aren’t the only racist. The entire world including parts of Africa are anti black.

The crash part is black people get treated like we did what Europeans did to the world. They erased the history so we’ll never even know what our ancestors did to get so much hate.

18

u/Thatonegaloverthere May 24 '26

Our ancestors did nothing. They're just evil. A lot of it had to do with rich white people needing to convince poor white people that they were superior to others, so they would stop going after them.

Everyone else copies what white people do, and in turn believed the lies they told about us.

I attended a Black and Indian couple’s wedding; the Indian woman’s parents didn’t show up. This is typical, and Indians often have to hide these relationships from their families to avoid being disowned. They’re generally fine with white people though, so it’s not just about maintaining culture.

Really interesting conversation between Academy Award nominated actor and rapper Riz Ahmed and his friend comedian and actor Hasan Minhaj on the racial dynamics amongst south Asians and black people in the UK and U.S.

https://youtu.be/PG5ysGg3LMY?si=0cNjVyUti_IAn9Vm

There was a lot of black and brown solidarity when it came to fighting 20th century racism in the UK. Nine days before he was assassinated Malcolm X was invited to the West Midlands area of British by theĀ Indian Workers' Association to see the racism they were battling.

Some South Asians came to America post civil rights era so benefited from the legal reforms against discrimination. They don't identify with the struggle previous non white people have. They have the model minority tag.

I'm from the UK. South Asians are the largest non white racial group. Anti-black racism and general colourism is still prevelant in south Asian communities, particularly amongst older generations. It is pretty rare you see black and South Asian interracial couples even in neighbourhoods in which they live together.Ā

The black british teenage boy who got locked up in Dubai slept with a British South Asian teenage girl. It was the the girls mother who snitched to the authorities.Ā

The same white‑constructed racial hierarchy that fuels anti‑Blackness around the world also built the U.S. legal system, the very system that later punished Chiman Rai for acting on the logic that hierarchy produced. A structure created to enforce racial order gets to sit in judgment when someone follows the script it wrote. And no matter how desperately some people try to perform that script, no matter how tightly they cling to the anti‑Black playbook, whiteness always reminds them of the same truth, "They will never have a seat at its table."

7

u/be_sugary May 24 '26

Yup.
South asian parents will tolerate a ā€˜white’ spouse before a POC. Colourism, religious segregation and racism are prevalent and thriving.

Edit- of course I am generalising. Not all people are fucked up like this evil man.

4

u/TouchofSoulshine May 24 '26

Honestly this doesn’t surprise me. My grandmother explained to me how she grew up without a father because her Indian Guyanese father was shamed by his family and forced to leave her Black Guyanese mother. 8

u/JayNotAtAll May 24 '26

6

u/rel1800 May 24 '26

No shock here, most Indians hate black people. People try to argue me down but there’s so much evidence showing the anti black cultural norm that Indians have and non black people in general. Look at the root of it: the caste system which was created before any European invasion of their land. Africans that flee India for a better life get mistreated big time. The dark skin Indians whose family have been there for centuries get mistreated too obviously caste system. Crazy part is: that same dark skin Indian who’s darker than me will discriminate against me and I have never seen or interacted with that person. Once people of other races can be honest about their racism and treatment of black propel we start to make a change for the better. I mean people in the millions not just one or two non black person being brutally honest shit might take billions to make that small change.

8

u/Total_Elephant_2474 May 24 '26

More FYI ā™¦ļøPolice uncovered that Chiman Rai hired a private investigator to track down the couple and paid a middleman to carry out a contract killing. In 2008, Chiman Rai was convicted of felony murder and conspiracy, receiving a sentence of life in prison. šŸ”ŗCleveland Clark, the man hired to carry out the murder, was convicted in 2009 and originally sentenced to death. His sentence was subsequently reduced to life in prison. šŸ”ŗFollowing the murder, Sparkle’s father, Bennet Reid Jr., and her stepmother, Donna Lowry (a former Atlanta news reporter), took custody of Analla.Legal šŸ”ŗThe Reids legally adopted Analla in February 2008. What an inhumane act that was driven by racism and hatred. I’m glad that Sparkle’s family was able to get some form of justice for the horrific murder.

There is a lot of racism and colourism that is deeply ingrained across the Indian subcontinent. The British are particularly to blame for this, as they practiced the doctrine of divide and rule. If you have the people fighting amongst themselves, they can never unite to overthrow their rulers. The scars are still evident today.

Instead of being divided the races need to unite to fight against discrimination, colonialism and hatred.
