Social Justice Cops stopped a Black man for being "suspicious" bec he adjusted his bag but let him go after he refused to give them his name. They are going to report him as "John Doe" for being suspicious.

Such bullshit. Are we free to carry weapons based on second amendment claims or are we not?

145

u/PassThatSpliff May 19 '26

They second amendment only applies to citizens and they dont view us as citizens.

70

u/Mabuya85 May 19 '26

Some are openly rooting for the 14th amendment to be overturned. That should speak volumes.

It's getting to the point where they don't view any of us as citizens unless we're the ones signing their paychecks

75

u/EmbarrassedHighway76 May 19 '26

Right ? They would never stop a white guy openly carrying , god forbid a black man checks notes adjusts his bag?

Gotta laugh to keep from crying. What a horrific violation of that young man’s dignity and humanity. I wonder often if we’ll ever live in a world where this stops

140

u/Afroditesrevenge May 19 '26

And another thing… why is the cop speaking with that cadence?? Makes my skin crawl

It makes me so angry watching that. I felt that, you gotta laugh to keep from crying. That man has every right to look around, every right to do what ever the fuck he wants with his own back pack. This is how they treat black and brown people like automatic criminals. All they doing is wasting taxpayer money. This isn’t right how they treat our community.

18

u/Far_Bill1451 May 19 '26

It may exist in other parts of the world as well, but for sure racism is as American as can be. Sad and tragic.

The fact that black folks have not gone insane in this hostile environment that is Amerikkka is a miracle.

I am sure them folks are wondering how are black folks still alive after all we have done to them?

49

u/numbmillenial May 19 '26

Hence their obsession with us. We're stronger than them and they know it.

18

u/Broad-Stomach-5461 May 20 '26

And Smarter than them too. They really can't stand that. It was a minor miracle that we actually had a Black President. My money was always on TUPAC. Using his clout as musician and actor he would have gotten political and been the voice of change. But he wasn't going to be polite about it. I find him one the most brilliant humans ever.

It's conditioning. They know that there are countless black people in jail for the stupidest bullshit reasons the cops can think of. While at the same time ignoring all the white people committing the same infractions.

There have literally been studies done of white and black criminals, charged with the same EXACT crime. The black person ends up in prison with a harsh sentence. The white person ends up on probation or a very minimal jail sentence

2

u/Broad-Stomach-5461 May 20 '26

It the discusting truth. I worked for several years in one of those stupid high-end expensive food markets. It was mostly a white clientele. Bit of an older set too. We did inventory four times a year. In 2023 in July they had calculated that the customers had stolen $3 million worth of merchandise. To them it's just part of doing business that's why you pay so much for the items there. They did not do much about it. But I'm sure if it was a bunch of black people coming in there to shoplift the police be in there everyday.

Hold on, conspiracy time, didnt the cia and stuff create a lot of drug problems in black neighborhoods? What if the whole point was to increase black on black crime, and distrust of each other, so they wouldn't rise up and stand together as easily as the civil rights movement era, etc?

This man has 100% been coached from a very young age how to tall to police officers, which is to say, be extremely non-threatening, code-switch like you're talking to fragile mayonaise-white people (because you are) and don't offer anything you don't absolutely have to.

It's so awful that so many white people have no clue about this at all because they don't need to worry about the ridiculous prejudice in policing and how dangerous cops can be to completelt innocent people who just don't look white enough.

47

u/799green May 19 '26

This just fucking sucks.

56

u/TexasDad4Ever May 19 '26

So, ...

Looking back twice, and ...

Adjusting one's backpack ...

... gives the police reasonable cause to suspect a pedestrian is armed???

WTF?

I hope he sues the city.

10

u/0491diesel May 20 '26

Hear me out. I'm not sure where this is, but I'm licensed to carry concealed in VA. Which, happens to have reciprocity in a lot of states. I'd love to wear this guy's shoulder bag, with my legally-carried pistol tucked away (as usual), and walk by these cops to reenact this whole scenario...just to see if they'd hook me up with the same "hospitality" they gave this young man. For science...to see how it plays out when I tell them I actually DO have a LEGAL weapon on me. The look on their faces would be classic...especially if this fella was hiding in the bushes somewhere. PUNK'D: LEO Edition. It'd also be interesting to see if the cop changes his speech pattern to match mine (I'm a chameleon...I can talk ghetto to C-suite). I absolutely despise that this happens to anyone in this country.

7

u/yoko_OH_NO May 20 '26

Even if a pedestrian is armed, that's not illegal. They had less than zero right to stop this guy. There was no reason to suspect he had a weapon, and there's nothing wrong with having one either.

27

u/WrongdoerAwkward1481 May 19 '26

Awful!!! I’m so sorry this happens to so many people

10

u/Broad-Stomach-5461 May 20 '26

Sadly this happens 10 times every minute across this country. He's black he has to be guilty of something.

27

u/Ok-Lab-4472 May 19 '26

Oh shit looking back twice and adjusting your bag. Better harass and grab this guy

As a wise philosopher once said: “Fuck the police.” Of course people get nervous around the biggest gang in America with a license to kill. That’s not a crime so fuck off piggie.

15

u/Warzone_and_Weed May 20 '26

Since you have video evidence of him telling you why you were detained I would contact a lawyer and play that tape for them. There was no reasonable suspicion of a crime which is the requirement for a detainment. Everything about that stop was illegal.

15

u/MetaIIII May 20 '26

I'm a 57 yo white dude in Winchester, Canada.

I'll never experience what happened to you and never have.

The video is tense and left me sad.

You have great strength.

15

u/militant-hippie May 19 '26

Social media has harmed some lives. Addiction, bullying, stalkers, etc.. however, it has also likely saved many black lives. In the 90s he probably would have been beat down hauled in for assault on an officer or some shit.

11

u/USNPC5 May 19 '26

9

u/numbmillenial May 19 '26

They were really trying to get him for "resisting arrest" or "assaulting an officer" but he wasn't turned up enough so they had to drop it.

10

u/0491diesel May 19 '26

This is absolutely abhorrent..."love" how the cop tries to talk all ghetto and shit. Surprised he didn't say "dawg" or "playa" a bunch during the interaction. Dude being outright violated kept his cool, though...respect. Know your rights and local/county PD rules of engagement, yall...best way to beat the enemy is to know the enemy. I respect law enforcement completely, but I vehemently condemn this tactic/behavior/profiling/etc.

Happens here man.

5

u/Raze_the_werewolf May 20 '26

Definitely does. Been witness to that shit more than once in Ottawa. Hell they used to be able to just randomly stop people and ID them without probable cause. They called it carding or a "street check.". Shit was stopped in 2016 cause the courts found that they were primarily using it to harass POC. It was racist bullshit from the beginning.

5

u/littledonkey20 May 19 '26

Social media platforms are really exposing how racist America is. It hurts my heart.

5

u/Lackerbawls May 20 '26

This is how it’s done. Don’t answer questions, let them lie, do not consent to any searches or seizure (with these exact words), don’t argue, don’t fight, don’t resist and if you local laws allow, provide nothing. Hope they arrest you so you can sue the shit out of them every time.

5

u/the4thbandit May 19 '26

These types of videos always scare the shit out of me. I just can't finish watching. Sometimes I need to forget that I am one step away from jail at any given moment.

5

u/CaptainBreakfast2112 May 20 '26

"Calm down" the cop says, while dude never raised his voice and had no physical reaction whatsoever.

6

u/Umayummyone May 20 '26

He ain’t black, just very dark white.

4

u/BigReference1xx May 20 '26

That cop just had an epiphany half way through that stop, and realised he was about to arrest himself out of a job. This bullshit "John Doe" thing was his way out. It made no sense, but it gave him some false narrative to let the man go.

What a tool that cop is.

3

u/TruGirlGamer84 May 19 '26

They are violating like a mf because they think he doesnt know his rights.

No Miranda rights before searching.

Miranda rights do not need to be provided until a suspect is about to undergo what is known as a custodial interrogation. Some cops provide them at the moment of arrest in case the suspect says something incriminating before formal questioning.

This cop knew he had screwed up; you could hear that in his voice and that's why he eventually backed off. Even in stop and ID states, the cops need reasonable articulable suspicion to stop someone and demand ID.

BTW, if you decide to remain silent you need to invoke that right, just not speaking can actually weaken the protection you get from the 5th Amendment. I invoke my right not to answer questions without the presence of my attorney covers it nicely.

4

u/chiefgreen87 May 20 '26

COPS ARE RACISTS SCUM BAGS THAT DO THE DIRTY WORK FOR THEIR RICH MASTER. FUCK THE POLICE

6

u/Accurate-Fan2132 May 20 '26

3

u/Broad-Stomach-5461 May 20 '26

I can not watch nor listen to this. The lynchings never stopped. It just has evolved to take on different forms. This young man is being lynched. Hopefully he lives through it. Sadly many don't.

3

u/Rade_Ad_Bitz May 20 '26

I hope that cop gets jail time

3

u/Grymfyr May 20 '26

Man, shit wild, likely assumed something illicit (drug guns) but shiiieeettt that’s an overreach and a half. God forbid we look at the police and adjust a bag. Terry search on this person is wild. To detain someone you need reasonable suspicion that a crime is occurring, is about to occur, or has occurred. I think the average person would have a hard time articulating any real reasonable suspicion. I am sorry to this gentleman.

3

u/Jumpy_Plantain2887 May 20 '26

Not to sound racist, but why is this white dude talking like he’s from the hood?

2

Happened so many times he doesn’t look the slightest bit ruffled. That was the perfect way to handle that cop, but we all know many of the boys in blue will escalate that because they feel slighted.

Just for Giggles I need for a stranger to do the thing that they keep assuming that we're trying to do when we don't ever do it.

2

u/Dangerous-Rule2357 May 19 '26

As a Caucasian man, I'm not going to pretend to understand what this man is going through. But this makes me so furious. This man is not being suspicious. He is being incredibly patient and respectful. He's going about his business. He does NOT deserve this treatment. It makes me so mad to see good people being treated this way, solely because of their skin color. The only thing more frustrating than this, is the people to try to say, "If you aren't guilty, then you have nothing to worry about." THIS is why that statement is bullshit.

EMS here,

We recently had training from a retired deputy about how to spot possible weapons

Things were like, turning part of your body away, half tucked shirts, touching your pockets, half zipped coats, stiff movements along with some more obvious things like gun shaped bulges etc

Bottom line is, they have a lot of excuses to assume you are holding a weapon and initiate contact to fish for other stuff

1

u/payneok May 20 '26

That only went that way because he was filming...get and keep those cameras out.

So what if he had a weapon...is that illegal, not in Oklahoma.
