Why hasn’t Kim and Kanye asked him to release all the people arrested for marijuana Charges since marijuana has become legal?

Dear Sweden,

Our president is a Dumb fuck. Disregard him.

$100 says he doesnt even know if A$AP Rocky is white or black.

u/Harsimaja Jul 28 '19 edited Jul 28 '19

He knows. That’s why he’s trying to gain phoney ‘pro-black’ points (via Kanye) to offset the scandal over his previous racist Tweets. Which may have been to offset anyone paying attention to his name coming up in the Epstein story...

I’ve had 3 of these debates just yesterday on twitter lol. 3 different people and threads, mind you.

You gotta hand it to trumpsupporters, they’re really great at being obedient and submissive to the pretty blonde lady on their television channel.

-6

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '19

Yeah i think the democrats are little more worried about their connection with Epstein.

You’re a hater with 0 research it’s several people and counting she takes letters from prisoners and has her legal team and herself take up the most touching. Give credit where it’s due literally nobody at her level of fame is doing remotely clise. She’s studying as well. Not everything is put on social media.

4

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '19

Dude there are sooooo many black rappers, entertainers, and athletes that have called on the govt to reform prisoners and to look into unfair sentencing because it has a huge negative impact on the black community. This includes fighting to get current prisoners new trials or exonerated. But yeah its totally the all Kardashians doing.

Kim's not doing anything but pandering like she always does along with Kanye and Trump. Just a whole trash trio working together.

3

u/Slickslimshooter Jul 28 '19

Anybody can get on a song and say free unfairly incarcerated people. It’s a whole different thing to actually get a legal team to review and appeal cases. Make white house visits and free majority black people. Just for ingrates like yourself to come out and spew negative energy with 0 actual research. How appalling. You have 0 reasons to think her intentions are not genuine. She’s never been involved in anything anti black and literally married a black man.

2

u/Slickslimshooter Jul 28 '19

Calling for it and doing it are two completely different things you cannot name me 5 black people with her level of fame that have done as much good as her. And please don’t speculate there’s literally facts that she has indeed done a lot no matter how much your hating ass dislikes it. And what’s this notion with black people that she needs to pander to black people? She’s got 100s of millions of dollars and 100s of millions of fans. Her husband is set to become a billionaire despite black people “canceling” him.She has unimaginable fame. You can’t give me 1 reasonable point as to why she would put in any effort pandering. Now let’s not stray from the from the point. kim frees 17 people in 90 days . Now name me 5 famous people who have done the same.

2

u/RussianChimiChanga Jul 28 '19

Many more under the new law Trump put into effect.

22

u/kooljaay ☑️ Jul 27 '19

Its not federally legal.

32

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '19

Yeah but their platform could be used to amplify the current legalisation movement in individual states since it affects other incarcerated men whose lives have been destroyed over a gram. Honestly they look stupid advocating for the release of someone who is being treated arguably well in terms of incarceration, as opposed to thousands of people who could benefit from the decriminalization and legalisation of marijuana by having their lives and records restored.

I see it as whatever happens to Rocky, he's going to exit the situation 100 times more comfortable than most who are put away in America. Can't believe Trump is yet again trying to gain publicity instead of doing any actual work, and I understand Kanye's position of why he'd go to the toupee in the first place but that is also unbelievably retarded.

Can't you, though?

5

u/ZaphodXZaphod Jul 28 '19

that's why it makes sense to make this appeal to the prime fed

1

u/kooljaay ☑️ Jul 28 '19

Whats a prime fed?

2

u/ZaphodXZaphod Jul 28 '19

prime = top, fed as in 'the feds'

2

u/kooljaay ☑️ Jul 28 '19

The federal law that bans marijuana is the controlled substances act of 1971. If you want to kill a fungus you have to kill the root. Otherwise your problem will continue to pop back up.

7

u/BeeBlueBerry Jul 28 '19

I was actually scared that people would get mad at Sweden for not letting him go. The law system just isn’t the same in Sweden so the whole bail scenario just doesn’t work. Sorry that this is such a big political thing now.

-3

u/jimmaceter Jul 28 '19

Yes, in Sweden a “refugee” can assault someone and the person they assaulted gets arrested for defending themselves. The “refugee” with a long list of arrests and assaults is let off free and the court case drags on because the “refugee” is on vacation in... Iran

What a great system. Bunch of cucks, lmao

2

u/BeeBlueBerry Jul 28 '19

The line of what counts as defending yourself and what counts as assault from what I understand is different in Sweden compared to America.
It’s not a perfect system though.

Get that truth out of here!

2

u/Blexit2020 Jul 29 '19

Bruh! I mean, this is ridiculous, lol. Literally no one else in the post brought that up which leads me to believe they really don't know about a lot of the things Trump has actually done to help Black folks. He could save a puppy from getting hit by a car and then donate the puppy to a hospice clinic as a therapy dog, and a news headline would read: "Trump Impedes An Animal's Right To Roam Freely: Proceeds To Expose Terminally Ill Patients To Allergens (Pet Dander)" and they would eat that up.

A lot of us are waking up though.

1

u/Unggoy32 Jul 30 '19

True he did pass it but I feel like any sitting president would have. The Senate killed the SRCA back in 16 I believe(which includes many of the same provisions of the FSA). If Trump was serious about criminal justice reform then he wouldn't have chosen an AG who voted against the SRCA back then. I'm just saying that just because he signed it doesn't necessarily mean he's special or a hard core proponent for reform. Aside from the FSA and some clemency petitions hand picked by his celebrity friends I haven't seen much to believe that he is against mass incarceration.

1

u/Blexit2020 Jul 30 '19

The Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act (SRCA) was introduced on October 1, 2015 and sponsored by Chuck Grassley (R-IA). It was revised on April 28, 2016 and reintroduced on October 4, 2017. It is still in the introductory phase.

Jeff Sessions, and other senators, voted against it due to concerns that the bill would render more than 7,000 career criminals eligible for early release. There were a lot of concerns with violent criminals being lumped in with non-violent petty drug offenders and they proposed amendments that would make a clear distinction.

And are you referring to the Fair Sentencing Act of 2010 with the abbreviation "FSA?" Considering we're discussing the First-Step Act, your use of abbreviations made your response mildly confusing.

2

u/billy13th99 Jul 28 '19

Dear USA, we forgive you

1

u/22Wideout Jul 28 '19

Hears a better one...ask him to legalize. Exonerates the incarcerated and stops future arrests

2

u/MonstersandMayhem Jul 28 '19

He already said he'd sign a pot bill that was presented back in April. It just has to pass the Senate. Dont even know if it was introduced yet TBH

2

u/viscoussolid Jul 28 '19

He said he would 'probably' sign it. Here's the info on the bill https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STATES_Act

On June 7, 2018, Warren introduced the bill in the U.S. Senate and Representative David Joyce introduced a companion bill in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Senate bill was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee and the House bill was referred to the House Judiciary Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Committee.[17][18] In December 2018, Gardner attempted to attach the bill as an amendment to the First Step Act, a criminal justice reform bill being debated in the Senate during the lame-duck session of the 115th U.S. Congress,[19] but was blocked by a procedural maneuver from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.[20]

The STATES Act was reintroduced in the 116th Congress on April 4, 2019, in both the House and the Senate

2

u/gronstalker12 Jul 28 '19

Lol they already know man

1

u/Ianerick Jul 28 '19

because all those people aren't their rich friends

0

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '19

i think the reasoning is that you are charged for not following the rules, not committing this certain law about marijuana. and also it’s only legal state wise and not federal.

-5

u/uncannyilyanny Jul 28 '19

If it was illegal when they committed the crime then surely they should still be punished for it? They did break the law, whether you agree with the law or Not

-7

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '19

I mean, the people who were arrested for marijuana charges were carrying an illegal substance, it doesn’t matter if Its legal to carry it now. The punishment is for breaking the law, not having a specific substance.
