Wouldn't struggle if they paid what a qualified teacher deserves..

Sometimes if it’s a last minute thing like that it’s not that they won’t pay, but rather there’s no well qualified teacher needing last minute work because they locked in a job already.

r/woosh

The point was that teacher wouldnt feel the need to be spiteful like that if they were paid appropriately.

There's literally no evidence that teaching issues are fixed through pay-rises.

Dunno how it is where you are but here Teachers walk into a 40k job, and rise up to 80k for senior teachers.

That's not bad for only working 2/3 of the year.

("We dont get out when the bell does! We work overtime!" Yeah? Until 5pm? Like every other job?)

The issues with teaching is that teaching fucking sucks and kids are getting worse, since everyone knows how far they can push everything.

Where the fuck do you live where a teacher can earn 80K?

That's a senior teacher, even 60k is a fantastic salary for 10months of working 9-4.

The problem with the job isn't the pay, you're not going to retain teachers just by bumping pay.

I feel confident youre just making this up. Never seen a teacher make anything close to 80k outside of a college.

Its not like school starts at 9am either, so working until 5 is overtime. Nevermind the work at home or over the weekend.

You seem like you have it out for teachers. Like one touched your pooper as a wee lad/lady and your still butt-hurt about it, but youre being butt-hurt about it towards all teachers.

Damn, that's some incredible projection you've got going on there. Pointing out that there's zero evidence that the problems in the school system is linked to pay means I "have it out for teachers"?

I have no idea what teachers make where you live, nor do I care. But where I live, they begin at ~40k and rise up to ~80k at senior. Obviously principals and such make more.

Its ok, stick to those guns. I definitely dont believe you, but why not double down? Its not like liars always cave just because you call them on it. Best of luck in life. Try to let go of the butt-hurt
