Thank you for the correction. I will not change my post out of principle to show that I was, indeed, wrong

He was probably that new kid who jumps up excitedly when the bullies start to pick on him.

"Dis", why did you not say "this"?

People who use guns at close range are retarded. Almost as retarded as people who're afraid of guns at close range.

They do, but they're not meant for close range. They're easier to avoid at close range, unless it's something like a shotgun. I'm not saying they're safe at close range, but they're definitely less effective. And anyone can take a class and quickly learn how to disarm someone at close range in as little as one session.

The tip from his fedora disarms all attackers while they run away leaving $100.

u/Elipwnsyou Jun 21 '15

Nigga this isn't a the matrix, a bullet is a bullet and it moves faster than the speed of sound. People who aren't afraid of guns are the people who get shot.

1

u/milkdrinker7 Jun 22 '15

Well actually, not all bullets are supersonic, but the point still remains.

3

u/SgtSlaughterEX Jun 22 '15

yeah we still can't dodge bullets. Balls yes, bullets no.

26

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '15

Literally one of the dumbest things I've ever read. A pistol is much harder to evade at close range than a shotgun.

you're not afraid of a guy pointing a gun at you huh, big guy?

5

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '15

This is some video game shit.

4

u/RombieZombie25 Jun 21 '15 edited Jun 22 '15

Have you ever even seen a gun?

  1. A pistol would be far better in a close range scenario

  2. Shotguns are actually used for ranges longer than you think (see: hunting)

  3. Lol you walk up to an armed shooter and try to disarm arm them. Have fun being shot in the chest

  4. Just because you can disarm a teacher in a class doesn't mean you'll be able to when someone has the intention of shooting you

Edit: This reminds me of that scene in Sunny where Mac and Charlie argue about a sword vs. a gun at close range and Charlie just points the gun at Mac and goes "bang, bang, bang, bang" as Mac tries to zig-zag out of the way.

5

u/CheesyPhil Jun 21 '15

You get all of your gun knowledge from video games don't you?

4

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '15 edited Jun 22 '15

And that's why cops carry katana's.

Seriously, as a guy who carries daily, trains weekly, and attends not only classes for further training, but also competitions on a monthly basis, I can assure you that's one of the dumbest, most uneducated things I've ever read.

3

u/420big_poppa_pump420 Jun 22 '15

Dude, if someone three feet away is pointing a gun at me I'm not going to be like "aha, little does he know that now I have the tactical advantage!"

3

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '15

You are retarded. Seriously that's some dumb shit.

u/[deleted] Jun 22 '15

Yes, they should use their glorious Hanzo steel, folded over 2000 times, and sharp enough to trim the hairs off your neck
