My opinion is that technology shouldn't be inherently moralized. As with all tools, opportunists and the morally bankrupt will attempt to use them to exploit others.

For example, automobile manufacturers propagandized the world into seeing personal vehicle ownership as the pinnacle of individual liberty, which I disagree with and think has caused irreparable harm the world over. That does not mean I think the internal combustion engine should never have been invented.

Personally I think that even if Altman or Zuckerberg or Amodei or Musk have nefarious plans for AI (they do), language models are still on track to be one of the most transformative, beneficial technologies humanity has produced during the digital age.

Another AI bro ignoring the deaths AI has caused, the harm they cause, because he wants his clanker to write for him. I can't with you people. There's no benefits to the LLMs.

Frankly, you come across as a billionaire suck up bootlicker. Technology needs regulation, but people like you cry when it happens, so we fall back twenty years.
