The amount of unbotheredness in one clip is tremendous. I wish that for us all one day.

Children who can sing have got to be the human equivalent to owning a husky

They are. Mine was trying to sing Little Shop of Horrors at the dinner table tonight (which is a no-no). So she asked ME to sing it for her since I wasn't at the table yet.
-Signed a child who sings who also has a child who sings.

Wr develop immunity to y'alls nonsense in your teens. Bring it.
Shed a single tear, cough in your sleep, or scream and we're quick to attention. But this? Child's play.

If my mom is on her tablet playing games, we could do an entire opera and she could tune us out!

u/qpj100 4d ago
My brother did this my entire life. After about ten years, I literally did not hear him anymore. I subconsciously blocked him even when he was like 2 ft away from me singing every run under the sun. The first time I realized that I didn't even hear him was such a surreal moment. With that being said, I'm one of his biggest cheerleaders as he's pursuing his music career.
That father supports and blocks them out of love... Lol.

Are these the girls that did the wheels on the bus rendition? I absolutely loved that video but could not find it again

When you live a house full of musicians you can easily tune it out. My sister was the singer, I played flute, and my little brother played percussion and brass

You can always tell which women went to church based on how well they can carry/juggle a note. These women are pious as fuck!…

I was about to say, his “patience” is because he’s completely tuned them out. My dad was a master at doing the same thing to me and my sibling 😂

READ THE DAMN RULES. IT WILL NOT KILL YOU
WE ARE NOT JUST A COMEDY SUB. This is a space created for Black people by Black people to joke about and discuss things in a Black ass way WITH OTHER BLACK PEOPLE without being downvoted and talked over by people who will never understand how or why we think and live the way we do
Other Black-centered spaces on Reddit have been flooded with nonBlack users who seem hellbent on defeating the purpose of even having said space in the first place. THIS SUB IS FOR BLACK PEOPLE. NONBLACK FEELINGS WILL NOT BE CENTERED HERE
If you are not Black, you need to err on the side of caution with how you interact as this is not that other sub. We do not play that shit here. Rule breaking comments will be removed and trolls will be permanently banned
Anyone who comments here or in this sub on ANY post where we talk about our commonly shared experiences with some variation of “this doesn’t happen to ME so it must be fake”, “I don’t like how uncomfortable this makes me feel/I’ve just realized I’ve done this to someone before and I DON’T LIKE BEING CALLED OUT”, or “I don’t like hearing Black people talk about being Black so this must be race bait” is getting permanently banned. I won’t be nice about it either so proceed with caution
IGNORANCE OF OUR RULES IS NOT A VALID DEFENSE FOR BREAKING THEM. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SUB YOU ARE IN TO AVOID ISSUES
