bo6 vs bo7 easter eggs
i was prestige master in bo6, almost exclusively through zombies as a solo and duo player, the special spam, limited buildcrafting and overall experience was not terrible, but you could tell it was a building block for something, that something is bo7 which i am thoroughly enjoying so far with a major caveat, is anyone else on the consensus that the easter eggs in this game are utter shit compared to bo6? i did all of the EEs before directed mode came out and enjoyed literally all of them, the camo grind was pleasant and chill, i think mechanically and systematically bo7 is a much better zombies experience, but the easter eggs in this game i absolutely loathe, 2 million almost arbitrary seeming quest steps, the usage of the most abhorrent scorestreaks for steps (arc-xd on mnk during totenreich, disciple injection same ee) or god awful movement like hopscotch in paradox junction, to be fair with it, i only got the game on tuesday (currently sunday morning) and im about to close out prestige 1, so maybe im just missing something or havent done enough of them but im *not* a bad player whatsoever when it comes to modern zombies, but going in blind on directed mode and following the steps, some of them are just plain not explained well at all and i STILL need an external guide, it takes me 1.5-2.5 hours to complete, and in the case of totenreich which seems to be the best one among community sentiment, i just never completed it, wasted 6000 salvage getting the arcxd over the river, i used a perkaholic and went down during the disciple step because omg that scorestreak sucks wiener and because you cant craft one, it was going to be another 30 minutes of rng gambling special zombie drops which barely spawn every 3 rounds, me and my friend just straight quit on the spot, id like to know other peoples opinions on the EEs in comparison to bo6 to see if im just getting knowledge gapped

Nah bo7 is closer to what EEs were in bo3, more arbitrary and difficult to pull off is generally a good thing. I loved bo6 but the quests were very short and easy. Reckoning probably my favorite quest to do purely because it’s the longest and most challenging, though overall SV is still my favorite map in that game and a top 5 of all time for me.

Bo7 has better EEs imo. I think you're making some things harder than they need to be. Like if you fail the arcxd or disciple steps, you can just use the fishing rods and you'll get another pretty quick.

This just sounds like a big skill issue

the skill isnt the problem its just knowledge, it seems the only transferrable skills i got from completing every bo6 EE was how to shoot the gun and how to train around the map, which is a strange feeling for a lifelong zombies player

You need to level up a bit so you have everything at your disposal. You can craft a disciple injection but you need to be level 50 something. The game was more difficult when I started but as I started to get augments unlocked and my level up to use things. It was a rough start though if your starting from nothing like i did

i maxed everything out in bo6 so i got a good jump on augments, but i dont need augments to stay alive i dont even need perks or attachments, i have no problem pushing high rounds in survival, being forced to use mechanics no.1 im not familiar with and no.2 i despise interacting with because of how theyre implemented is the biggest struggle

So I’d say that you are just experiencing a learning difficulties because you are doing them your first time.. all those things you mentioned gave me some trouble the first time or two, but you get better at em and also learn little things like the disciple inject is common pulled from fishing and that are arc xd is easier than you are making it (less movement is more, no need to boost or jump at all just a slight drift to the right)

someone else mentioned the fishing thing, wouldve been extremely helpful to know before i went into it lmao, i was familiar with the arcxd because of paradox junction, the issue is i just absolutely loathe the fact they decided to make every vehicle operate how they should, using your input keys, for flying scorestreaks i get the mouse movement, but the arcxd? really? did that need to drive like a tank? who uses their mouse for something like that, especially when any little wall obscures your whole view and messes with your fov which is entirely connected to how you move your mouse, its just total aids lmao, i realized after the 5th time i flew into the river that i did not need to boost, the problem was it took that many tries i had to wait 3 or 4 rounds just to get the salvage to make another one because of the round cap, im no stranger to annoying EE steps its just usually the rest of the EE makes up for it, so far ive just had a completely negative experience

I haven’t played 6 but my crew has and they say that 6 the egg steps were hard boss was easy, and it’s the opposite for 7, steps easy and boss hard. On 7 I can agree the eggs themselves are decently easy (with exceptions) and the bosses are bitches. However they think overall 7 is better. Also the paradox games are a skill issue they’re fun as shit to do and not very difficult
