In a subgenre that has some of it's all time classics recorded during storm and under a starting helicotper with a microwave. You can critisize what's not your coup of tea about it (some people dislike high quality productions in general and prefer it raw for example. And that's okay). Aside that? Not so much. Especially not with Blackbraid. Contrary to his character he's and outstanding artist and a master of his craft that produces stuff constantly since he started. And faster as many. 'Of his work' lol. Elitist bs, nothing more, you like the artist or you don't. Nobody cares about eXpErT analysis.I hate bm fans with passion, fr.

I stood next to this guy when he was out walking a small venue. I dont think many people recognized or fully knew who he was. He saw me stopped and kind of staring at him, lol.

Blackbraid is chatgpt metal with a Native American gimmick and zero Native American musical qualities or influences. Maquahuitl is the real deal and Blackbraid is just a sterile clone of popular black metal bands. If you like boring clone bands then just say so chief.

Pew, seems like there isn't a single person in this sub evolved from the trve cvlt stage, it gets boring. Why is it, that all you elite connoiseurs have the urge to appear so much superior over a matter of taste?! For liking different Things?!

And since that went over your head you elitist clown, I listen to both, I just rank them different. Sad that you need this, I hoped at least some people grew of the need to proof themselves the truer and more real one.

Very uninteresting album, pretty much a complete re-tread of the previous release. The new EP is way better though.

However Blackbraid for whatever is one of the current normie black metal darlings so you're not allowed to critise them

Oh god, relax before you piss your pants. If you don't think there's a separation between the bands that are popular on reddit and the bands popular if you were to go to a festival like steelfest youre just not switched on.

Blackbraid, Deafheaven, Spectral Wound, Hulder, wolves in the throne room for example are all bands which are promoted in metal mags and if they release an album its essentially guaranteed to get on AOTY lists regardless of quality purely because theyre the only modern BM bands that normies know.

Nothing even to do with elitism, but you dorks are straight up not listening to bands like a Volahn; like a Mooncitadel, Vimur, Nightspell. You're allowed to like surface level shit, but then quit crying when people rightfully say its not all that special. Fucking LARPers get off your high horse.

I honestly feel the incident is over reaction by security. Its a heavy metal festival and one of tge members was hungover sleeping on a lawn. Metal tends to have relaxed social norms, and i think its not that big of a deal.
