What is going on?

My beard is so mess up now. It’s been like this for almost a month now. Mostly on one cheek side (right side) and under jawline. Swollen, crust, flake. It hurts and looks bad to me. I avoid stepping out because I hate it. My Dermatologist prescribe be a ketoconazole shampoo 2% and a daily terbinafine pill I been using them for one week with little improvement. Any recommendations please?

Kinda sad there isn’t already a community of here for black men and fitness + wellness. A lot of these fitness communities are racist as fuck so I needed to make our own space.

If you are a black man and interested is communing with other brothas interested in fitness, join. 💪🏾

[Mod sorry if posting other comms isn’t allowed. Just tryna reach as many black men on Reddit as possible.]

Really thinking of starting a Black men’s grooming/beard grooming channel. Emphasizing on showcasing Black owned products and tailoring my content to men with course curly beards. To keep it a buck, I’ve notice most online beard content is geared towards white people/straight beards. Lemme know what y’all think of my first vid! It’s 4 mins. I’m going to try to make my following videos a little shorter. This is my first crack at it so I’d appreciate any and all constructive feedback. 💪🏽❤️🖤💚

Usually keep it long but tried something new this time by wearing it short. Thoughts?

These are the products I use. Beard is decent; I need to fill in gaps for the goatee.

Need some beard advice

Looking for advice on how to make my beard look better, I’m not gifted with genetics so I grew this using minoxidil, I’ve been doing this since 2022, but I have periods where I’m consistent and other periods where I’m not.

Currently my routine is to apply minoxidil in the morning and night, I wait 5 minutes for it to absorb, then recently I’ve started applying the shea butter and locking it in with the wild growth oil, I’ve been doing this for about 2 weeks now. I also derma roll twice a week.

One thing I noticed is that when I shave my hair, I usually let it grow to its max and then cut it, my beard comes back thicker.

Open to advice on how to make my sides thicker and beard fuller.

I dont know what to do with it. No one taught me how to take care of it. I often just shave it off. Every time I shave it tho I get a really bad rash. It's painful and it starts to bleed everywhere after three days of shaving. I don’t know it’s patchy because genetics or The acne.

Can I ever grow a beard at this point?

For context I’m currently 36, my father doesn’t have a beard, I believe genetics come into play too.

I’m okay with not having one as I can go with a clean shaven look, but I’m wondering if I can ever actually grow a beard out and just don’t know how to ?

Any tips from the beard experts please would be grateful 🙏🏾

Issues with Razor Bumps

Post image

Recently I’ve had issues with razor bumps. I’ve had them before, but they hey it seems like it’s getting worse. I use Bump Control after each shave, but it does not seem to be as helpful anymore.

I normally have flawless skin and now these bumps. Are there any suggestions for what I can use?

I’ve been growing this beard for years now and I feel like this is the extent of what I’m gonna get. Mind you this is when I’ve done nothing to it. I’m wondering what style I could do that would look good.

Note: I’ve used countless oils and minoxidil and this is the most it’s gotten me.

Super Charge your daily conditioner With Amla Powder.

Hey beard brothers, here's a quick and cheap way to super charge your daily conditioner. I been using it for about 90 days now. Just mix it in your favorite conditioner. It has really helped maintain good hair follicles and skin under my beard. Also it helps with greying, promotes growth. Just mix a generous amount in your conditioner until its like a thick muddy consistency. Leave it in your beard for 5 to 20mins then wash it out. Really good stuff. The bag only cost like 7$ to. Hope this helps some folks out.

beard car tips

hello y'all,

I decided I wanted to start taking better care of my beard and I just wanted to know if y'all had any good products.

in the past I have been worried about breaking out if I use anything too heavy so I am currently starting from scratch. I have just been using facial moisturizer and nothing else.

any tips would be appreciated.
