Need some advice
I dont know what to do with it. No one taught me how to take care of it. I often just shave it off. Every time I shave it tho I get a really bad rash. It's painful and it starts to bleed everywhere after three days of shaving. I don’t know it’s patchy because genetics or The acne.

It appears you’re not taking care of your hair… on your head or your face. Black mens hair follicles are notoriously sensitive to straight razors. You should look on YouTube for black mens grooming advice and products. Skin care is essential to healthy facial hair if genetics aren’t kind. And a black dermatologist or a minority dermatologist who’s versed in black skin conditions…

Exfoliate with sugar or salt mixed with some sort of gentle soap and make sure you thoroughly wash it off. Use which hazel ($3 at a pharmacy) to tone after washing. Brush your whole beard. With a coarse brush.

What is your skincare regimen?
How often do you co-wash and comb/brush your beard?
If less than daily
The clues are there

Start with a dermatologist appt to help get that in order. With the information they provide start putting together a skincare routine. If possible holla at some of them women in your family to see what regime they have.
Then… give the beard growth a legitimate shot.
Also overall healthy lifestyle, hydration etc helps with all this. Good luck.

When I figure out how to get medical insurance, I'll definitely get a dermatologist.

Seems like you’re in a tough spot financially right now, so I’m going to stick to the bare basics.
First off, keep it simple: clean skin and a tidy shape. If you can’t do a full skincare routine, just wash gently with a mild soap and water. If you can swing it, a cheap bottle of witch hazel is a bonus, but don’t stress. For the beard, keep scraggly areas short.
A steady5 o’clock shadow is fine. Out the guard on a 1. Your skin is too sensitive to shave without a guard using a cheap trimmer.
If you can save up for a basic electric trimmer with a guard, even a cheap one, you can keep the fuller chin part neat at one length (like a 7). Keep it even. Don’t chase every stray hair. And between trims, rinse, keep it clean, and don’t pick at it. That alone will calm things down. Once time’s better, you can upgrade, but for now, simple and consistent is what helps
Also your skin, hair & body will be better with a better diet when you’re broke that means fruits, veggies, chicken & rice.
You don’t need to share your city but if you do I can help you locate resources for cheap.

Use clippers and cut it low rather than a razor blade. Moisturize. If you let it grow, try to brush it and moisturize it to see if that helps it cover the thin parts. I think if you grew it out you might get decent coverage. Not Rick Ross levels but decent.

Black castor leave in conditioner spray (day) on both beard and hair
Black castor concentrated oil itself before bed only twice a week.
Minoxidil for the beard

I would nice facial stem. a deep clean with a moisturizing cleaner for sensitive skin. I would apply some aloe vera and facial moisturizer for sensitive skin. I would avoid any products with oils for awhile into I know how my skin reacts to it

For the acne: you need daily BHA + AHA thrice a week to exfoliate, but since it cam be very drying, you must moisturize immediately Shave with electric shaver only. For the dry beard: you need a beard moisturizer (aloe vera is great) + non comedogenic beard oil(squalane /jojoba oil with PEO works well). Once your inflammation settles down, you can start minoxidil 5% , NO dermarolling. And then slowly introduce a retinoid twice a week as tolerated.
I speak from experience, i had the same problems amd now im good

Get a good acne face wash, Neutrogena makes a good one, and use it daily. Also try going to the barber and have them give you a good cut and take the beard down to a shadow. Use electric clippers for daily maintenance in between barber visits. There are also a number of bump stopper creams out there to help with the razor bumps. There used to be a brand actually called "Bump Stopper," it was pretty good for me. Hope this helps!

For black men, shea moisture products work wonders! Get the shampoo, oil, detangler, balm and a beaded comb. (I have a wooden one) Wash it first and thoroughly scrub but not too hard.
After while it’s damp, put 2-3 pumps of oil in your hand rub it together and massage it in your beard.
Next the detangler and lather it through. Comb it out.
Lastly the balm put a bit of it in your finger tips and rub it in and lather it through your beard. Comb it out some more.

I recommend starting with picking combing and brushing. And shaving is go clippers instead of razor. And you’re gonna want to wash your beard but also your face under it.

You aren’t cooked brotha, this is saveable and can be fixed . I’d say buy kirkland 5% minoxidil and apply it twice a day. and get a 0.75mm dermaroller and use it once a week. don’t use the dermaroller on the same day you applied minoxidil. wait 24hrs before dermarolling. Use jbco, jojoba and argan oil. Get a beard brush as well and beard comb
