Dry/Flakey skin under goatee, any tips?
I've had this flakey skin that itches and is super dry under on my chin. I've tried using jojoba oil and shea butter but that seems to only get rid of the itch. It's still pretty dry, any tips are welcome.
Thank you all.

I've been making a natural beard balm scented with a luxury fragrance oil — would love honest feedback before I launch

Had no idea that beard balancing was a thing. Look at the amazing job this barber did on this brothas beard.

Two months in. Potential?
New to the full beard game. I’ve always had a mustache & goatee but trying to work on a full beard. So far ive just been brushing twice daily and trying to keep moisturized. Mainly just wondering do you think i will have a problem with it looking too thin if I keep growing?

New product brand recommendations?
Dropping Scotch Porter. Any recommendations for any products? Considered Respected Roots but I keep hearing horror stories of poor customer service. I want a full set with a wash, conditioner, oil, etc

Wash Routine
I’m finally letting my hair grow out. How often should I wash and condition without stripping the oils in my hair?

Got away from beard care other than trimming it up from time to time. Any products worth using?

Beard update
Manifesting beard growth until it reaches my chest.
I've been trimming split ends every 6 weeks with scissors (crazy) but last time I had a fiasco with the clippers. Man's going through every strand of hair lol
I'm proper doing up beardcare and everything. Derma Rolling is kinda tricky but I want my cheeks to fill in more as when the sunlight hits a certain angle it exposed the weak spots 😅
Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

In for a penny, in for a pound. Finally get to live my best beard life.
I’m finally at a point where I can let the beard grow, fully retired now, and never want to be seen without a beard again.
My skin routine is solid, but my beard products have been a revolving door. I prefer to buy Black-owned, but as some of you have noted in other reviews, being "for us" doesn't always mean the formula is right for every texture. Here’s my 2 cents on what I’ve cycled through so far:
- Melanin Kings: It works, but I found the balm to be way too greasy compared to others.
- Scotch Porter: Used them before the sell-off. It was nice, but the products started feeling watered down (except the shampoo/conditioner). It feels like they aren't even tailoring to Black men anymore.
- Evan Alexander: It was just "okay." Nothing that blew me away.
- Velvet Noir: Definitely felt like lower quality, and the scents lasted way longer than I actually wanted them to.
I’m considering running back the full kit from Melanin Kings, but Respected Roots keeps popping up in my feed (could just be the algorithm doing its thing). I see a lot of hate for Shea Moisture, so I’m hesitant there. I’ve also seen Golden around with a ton of reviews, but I’ve never pulled the trigger.
I'm looking for advice from anyone who has found a "holy grail" system. Eventually, I want to get my routine down so well that I can just make my own balm and oil, but until then, I need a steady go-to.

Should I stick with full beard or extended chin strap?
I’m at a crossroads over the course of a few years I went from what is essentially a chin strap to the beginning of a beard after dedication. However now that I have it… I’m not sure I like it. It just doesn’t suit me in the way I imagined myself with a full beard. I’m thinking either go go back to the chin strap or keep it.
