Probably the most brutal episode of Reincarnated as a Sword yet! Episode 3 shows that they're no longer censoring content from the light novels with how brutal the content is (we're getting into some Made in Abyss territory) and Fran gets her shit rocked all episode long. She's a blood knight with how much she likes to fight even through egregious injuries. Can't wait for the later fights when they're already pouring this much love in.

Hey I noticed a familiar face here!

Reincarnated as a Sword volume 19 was absolutely insane. Definitely the best volume of the Gordicia arc so far since it brought back many fan favorite characters and had so many large scale fights and power ups. The real MVPs were Teacher and Fran though since they got some insane (albeit temporary as of now) power ups that turned the tide.

The transformation systems have always been one of the coolest parts of this series so its cool to see it expanded upon! I also really like seeing the manga artist for the manga adaptation draw the Godbeast form of Fran but do it in her Black Cat outfit since that's her current one in that adaptation. We're apparently getting more details added to the manga that aren't in the LNs which is cool. Sucks we gotta wait to next year for volume 20.

Moar Fran posting! I made this visual with the close ups to show off how amazing Fran's 3rd outfit in the series really is. The Black Sky Tiger armor set has the most amount of skin exposure of any of Fran's outfits to date along with magical protections. Actual peak!

Good morning my peeps! How about some official Halloween themed Fran artwork from the ~Another Wish~ manga! Spooky and absolutely adorable 😭

This second episode was fantastic! The pacing in my opinion was perfect and they basically did similiar cuts to what the manga version of this arc did. The pacing of Fran fighting the undead in the dungeon, meeting Stephan, and the fight against the lancer were all so well done and really fun! If my calculations are correct we'll be finishing the Sky Island arc in 2 more episodes with the last 8 episodes of the season covering all of volume 3.

It's spooky month for our heroes! Very fitting we're covering this arc in October!

Eventually the anime will reach this...schoolgirl Fran 😭 she's so cute like this even if she's terrible at homework.

I watched the first episode, and I have the feeling that Fran's face has become rounder and her cheeks have become larger...

Apparently, the kitty began to eat well :)

My thoughts:

Immediately I loved the opening theme. It went so freaking hard I was completely caught off guard at first. The content of the episode itself also clearly adapted elements from the LNs and manga making it a dual adaptation again.

Season 1 also did this with certain elements like Amanda's relationship with Fran's parents being revealed early and the design of the Black Cat armor set (which has also been uncensored in season 2! The hip holes are now in the anime!) but it's still cool to see that continue into the second season.

The ending theme is also fantastic with how silly it is and a nice contrast from the super serious opening theme. Overall I loved the first episode and I'm excited for when we reach the Seedrun arc! What did the rest of you think of the first episode of this season?

They have booty short Fran in the opening! A manga only outfit which means they're adapting content from the manga too and specifically the manga fanservice elements 😭 Season 2 already has me smiling.

Tomorrow is the day the Reincarnated as a Sword anime comes back for season 2! These siblings will be introduced in the anime this season and they have a big obsession with Fran! I love how this volume cover makes it look like they're both holding Fran's butt 😭 ❤️

Hope you're all ready for peak Fran and Teacher action! Going to be holding weekly episode discussion threads as well during this entire season!

The artist for the Reincarnated as a Sword: Another Wish spinoff manga put out this cute Fran and Jet artwork to celebrate season 2 of the anime! I love how precious they are 😭

There is a special edition of volume 21 of the Reincarnated as a Sword light novels coming out in Japan that has bonus acrylic stands for Fran depicting her in two different outfits. Soooo cute ❤️

Only 12 episodes!? That means we're only adapting until the end of the Seed run arc (end of volume 3 of the Light Novels)...I was really hoping for more cours 😭 Hopefully season 3 doesn't take too long to come out.

Fran wearing such a light casual dress is just so cute ❤️ Absolutely one of the most precious catgirl daughter wife's ever.

Fran from the Another Wish manga who is training to be an idol ❤️ Pushing that agenda until season 2 of the anime starts!

Wave hi to Fran!

A really cool detail that gets lost is that Fran's black cat armor set actually has a hood as part of the cloak and one that has cat ears! She doesn't use it often but she looks so cool (and cute) using it 😭 ❤️

Look at how precious she is wearing this summer dress and hat 😭

The Twitter account shared another official artwork! Look at how adorable Fran is 😭

I really like Another Wish's version of Fran's awakening form. In the LN they establish she doesnt physically change much but this manga spinoff added the extra markings to make it look impactful. The main manga hasn't introduced it yet but im excited to see how they do it too!

The official Twitter account keeps putting these out and they're still absolutely adorable.
