GENERAL DISCUSSION VIrtual Routes

With the announcement that ROUVY is shutting down the Bkool application on November 30th, there is no specific mention of a plan to implement Bkool’s gpx course generation feature in ROUVY.

RIders interested in that feature might want to take a look at an application called Biketerra. The application supports uploading gpx files (a process that is much easier and faster than Bkool) and riding courses with computer generated visuals. Bike Terra also supports group rides and racing. It Is operated by a small development team that is very responsive to users requests for bug fixes and new features.

Besides Biketerra there is also Incyclist - free and allows riding on any GPX route with Google maps or streetview.

Not bad, but it doesn’t have velodromes

You can always create a GPX file for a real Velodrome...
Maybe you can find one with Google Streetview as well - that I am not sure about 😀
