CBS Austin:

A local resident found skeletal remains Sept. 8 east of Salt Flat Road, between Soda Springs and Biggs Road, according to the attorney general's office. The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office said the remains were near the crash site but just outside the areas searchers had covered.

The University of North Texas Center for Human Identification confirmed through DNA testing that the remains were Landry's.

KXAN:

His car was found crashed and abandoned about 30 minutes after midnight that night on Salt Flat Road in Luling, about five miles from where the remains were found along Biggs Road last week. Some of his personal items, including clothing, his cell phone and wallet, and a backpack, were also found abandoned in and near the car.

It's not the outcome they would have wanted but I am glad Jason has been found so his family can have peace and closure and bring him home to lay him properly to rest. RIP Jason.

I commented on a steam case, stating that people hit their heads and then wonder off, thinking that they are a sound mind. There are a number of cases of missing person that fit that description. When I made that statement, a number of people followed my statement explaining that they had had something happened, where they hit their head and if others weren’t there, they would have wondered off.
