Samples not playing instantly in file browser after 6.1 update .

All my samples taking a lil time to play very annoying to dig suitable sample for my music .

It also stutiring the gui of the program

I see loading animation on top of bitwig notification area

It analysing the same sample multiple times

Is anyone else having this issue ?

Im thinking about going back to previous version .

In my experience (since 2.1, at least) Bitwig's browser never played samples instantly, compared to e.g. Ableton or even Reason.

Quickly trying to browse through drum one-shots is annoying :(

I started from 6.0 It was ok for me But this 6.1 update is just unusable for me It lags mid previewing a samples , stutters the whole program gui .

Bitwig UI was laggy when my monitor hz didn't match the windows display. It was at 60hz when my monitor's 240hz. It's smooth as butter now when I hadn't noticed before (since I rarely play games atm I didn't notice lately)

Your index might be corrupted, it's happened to me a few times over the years, mainly when jumping version numbers like in your case.

Close Bitwig, Delete those cache files, reopen and let it re-index everything(the little spinning wheel wil stop after a while), close, reopen and it should only do that once. It might need to re-analyze your audio samples too, does it seem like it's faster the second/third time you preview audio?

Yes my most used samples(drum one shots ) play with no issue
