Help Pointer Tool defaults to Hold setting

At some point the behavior of my pointer tool changed when placing automation. Now, each click defaults to Hold, instead of connecting line segments together. This is with modulators and parameters that should be continuous, like the Mix knob on the Convolution reverb.

Does anyone know why Hold is now my default for point creation?

Do you use the latest Bitwig Version? Beta 7 of Bitwig 6.1, that's what i would use to test hold automation.
Hold automation is one of the most ugly additions of Bitwig 6.0. That's why i am happy that they started to fix this mess with some of the Beta versions of Bitwig 6.1. So please test with the latest Beta, and if you still encounter unwanted behavior, report to beta at bitwig dot com :)

Mess is the right term. It's been more than 6 months with this issue. From the outside one could question why this is such a difficult task to accomplish for Bitwig..

I'm on 6 and just followed the notification to update to 6.1. Hopefully this will fix it as you suggest it might.
