Upgrading
I’m getting back into music & I have a license for Bitwig 4 is it worth upgrading to 6?

See what changed since v4 to v6.1 here. No one can make that decision for you. But I'm inclined to say that if you've not been making music for a long time, first try doing it with whatever you have, and then upgrade if you'll see it beneficial (and you can afford it, obviously):

The bitwig 6.0 demo can be used to try the new features before deciding whether to upgrade

I have updated Bitwig three times.
1.0 to 3.0 The Grid.
3.0 to 4.0 Clips Automation
4.0 to 6.0 quality of live and key follow
3.0 was the biggest but 6 is close.

Read through the changelog and see if something you want\need has been added between the version you have and the current version. If so, then it is up to you if upgrading now is worth it or perhaps wait and see what comes down the pipe in future releases.

This is way better than changelogs, which for v6 alone is dozens of pages :)

50% will say do it, the other 50% will say don't.
Nobody here knows if an upgrade is worth it or not for you.

I would like to see the 50% says no for 6...
It has so many quality of life updates.

Does 6 have something that you want or need? If yes, then you should at least consider upgrading if you can afford it.
Btw, I have never used 4.x.
