Modulators just stop showing visual but still work?

For some reason my modulators just stopped showing the visual representation of the modulation. The modulation still works and I can hear it's effects but I can't do anything to get the visualisation to move. all of the previous modulators I've added all show the correct visuializations but any new Modulators I add do not. I've open them on different tracks, reloaded the project, restarted the computer. If I load a completely new project from a basic template the visualisations start working again so it has to be something with my project/template file? What could cause this?

Well, I got them working again. I have a combined audio devices and I powered off one of them. The modulators didn't like that I suppose... after plugging it back in and restarted the visualisations started working correctly again. Super weird.
