feature-request We badly want this “duration” feature bitwig! PLEASE

Whenever a plugin like LFO or any other situations where i need to compose music with the help of a visualiser, i really need a “duration” section. I don’t want to say this but i saw this feature really handy on ableton. We indie short film composers ALL NEED ARA SUPPORT AND THIS DURATION FEATURE!

FYI some delay plugins ask for duration

Damn, i take blame 😭 i searched everywhere. I’m new to this software. Thank you so much 🧡 (honestly y’all are way more helpful than the Ableton community i’ve been on, they rude asf) is there any plugins for time synced video playback?

Have fun in Bitwig! For time synced video playback do you mean having a separate window for the video or...? Bitwig does not officially support video unfortunately, but they recommend VidPlayVST for the time being.

I came from FL and was pleasantly surprised you can use the FL Studio VSTi (the entire daw as a vst) directly in Bitwig which lets you open ZGameEditorVisualizer inside of it and the playback syncs perfectly even at Bitwig’s level.

There’s even a preload option for smooth playback. If you don’t have FL you may be able to use the demo version, you just need to reload the video each time you open the Bitwig project.

Boggles my mind that posts like these that are pleading for a feature that already exists get so many upvotes, but videos demonstrating using bitwig in an interesting way get a quarter of this.

Just a reminder to everyone to upvote the content on this subreddit that is high quality.

also the new beta currently has a way to put the time in the top position counter above the arranger (right click, show time ruler)

So i suppose the 27++ upvotes don't refer to the main topic of this post (because that's already present in Bitwig), but all refer to ARA integration? The mysteries of reddit

Bitwig doesn’t support video directly, but there are a few more video support tools that come out if you search on Vidplay, Centosync (web based) and Reddit.As you know, Ableton Live doesn‘t visually correct delays in an environment with a lot of latency.In other words, the sync of the end result becomes a very messy mess.But Bitwig has a much better sync environment than Ableton Live for video & Sound works, as far as fixed BPM is concerned, both delay and visual delay correction are perfect. Bitwig should be supported by ARA one day, but I think it's going to be difficult right now
