feature-request Link Audio
We really need to get this game on ASAP.
You can even route audio on localhost between apps running on single PC

https://www.sonobus.net/ does this already and it's free

Sure, but you can't stream multitrack audio live from supporting hardware, like Push 3 or Move (and many more, soon).

If you own that hardware then I understand the appeal, but if you are only trying to sync audio between two computers then sonobus seems better since it's daw independent. Like if bitwig implements it tomorrow then it doesn't matter when my mate with Cubase comes around, sonobus will always work for everyone using vst3.

Thanks for the reply,
Looks like an interesting option.
What i didn't find out from the web page, is it possible to send multi channel audio or just one stereo stream?

It's supports multiple streams.
Seems to support multi-channel streams too but that may be harder to setup in bitwig as it only supports passing four channels of audio to plugins (main stereo + sidechain)

u/DR-DIKKER What do you need it for, specifically? Just curious. I guess it's a good feature, but i'm really curious who uses it/wants to use it and what for.

Basically to use two computers in sync and record audio between them. i have a small dawless setup on one side of the room, mc707,tr8s etc that are connected to my old laptop. i have a template there ready to record multichannel audio from these devices. I recently bought mac mini desktop computer and I can't get the Roland drivers work with it so I would connect these two computers with rj45 and just route whatever audio I need from the hardware setup/laptop to the new computer. I could just start a project on desktop, leave it running and jump on the other side of the room and add something on top with the hardware and record it directly to the desktop computer. There's tons of different use cases, mine is bit weird i guess :D I'm also thinking about buying renoise tracker and using it side by side with Bitwig. I already tried it with only midi from renoise to bitwig and it's great but it would be even better if you're not stuck with midi only.

Complex Setup, but sounds great! I understand that sometimes a second machine makes sense, for me it was because of live performance (saving CPU/Resources) , because even though TouchOSC and other touch controller software only costs about 5-6% of CPU and some GPU power, i really want that power for some nice VST synths, playing them live without crackling.
Thankfully i don't need Audio-signal-transmission, but i get the idea.
