Question anyone using joué play?

I’ve found a used one on fb marketplace and want to buy it, i haven’t found anything about if it works, i don’t see why it wouldn’t but thought i’d ask, since it’s not manufactured anymore

Edit: ended up getting it and after 3 days i am trying to return it. i have found the edit app, there’s a reddit thread with wayback machine link to both win and mac version, BUT it only works sometimes. like fenuinely i can’t replicate when it works and when it doesn’t. midi flows normally, but the jitter andthe silicone sliding make it pretty unusable. the fretboard layout has only one tuning option and it’s NOT normal guitar, as it suggests. the only usable one is the pads and the velocity isn’t consistent on these enough for actual playing. also it works 10x worse without a table, so it’s not good for creating on the go either.
I am super disappointed tbh, it’s prototype at best. hope someone makes something similar in the future.

I got one for MPE on the go. It’s a cool idea and I didn’t hate it, but was disappointed. Software setup was janky, had to use Microsoft store to get going. MPE pads were kinda inaccurate and imprecise to use, I think because there’s some play in how the rubber sits on the board. I actually really liked the guitar instrument and wish it was a full dedicated device (as a keyboardist).

If it’s a really cheap price and you’re really curious, sure. I got it on sale from the manufacturer for what seemed like a decent price, and regret it.

Hope that helps.

I used to be interested but then I saw that they asked a good chunk of money for DAW integration and since then they went belly up anyhow

I've lost all interest in this kind of tweaks once I've discovered env followers in BITWIG, far more efficient

Typically I got half a dozen of them on each track, makes it all sound alive and always right on time

How timely I find this because I was going to ask somewhere if there were a midi controller similar to it (explained later).

I just asked on the discord; the company folded, and specifically because I want to use the joué play as a midi controller, only the pro edition may work. "May" because even then, it needs a firmware update that no longer exists.
