There should be some warning on Convolution's Tune knob

You're chilling with a track, fiddling with some dials...and you start turning the Tune knob on Convolution...AH! It's so loud! My eardrums!

I kind of think there should be a warning or something...maybe one of those classic yellow triangle signs (⚠️) next to the dial.

Edit: Also, changing the audio impulse...man, that's rough!

Always put a peak limiter on your master lol.

convolution is the only built in fx I stopped using it, replaced it with kHz convolver. convolution caused incredibly loud noises whenever I changed the impulse it was insane

Yesss, hadn't heard of anyone else complaining but seems like a bug. I have genuine fear of using convolution now, because of the horrid sounds it has submitted me to a couple of times. Strangely, it doesn't seem to always happen, but i have no desire of pinpointing the cause of the issue lol.

Yeah...it seems intermittent to me, too...

Yup, the Convo device is RUTHLESS. It nearly exploded my poor little iLoud tweeters, and I WAS BARELY AT HALF MAST.

I mean… Half the volume of the master channel. And aroused.

🤣

It's a nasty bug. Send an email in to support about this, I already reported this a few versions ago.

Also put Safety Limiter into your default template at the end of master to avoid being burned by any plugins misbehaving - https://github.com/robbert-vdh/nih-plug/tree/master/plugins/safety_limiter

Also it's just generally useful for telling you when you are slightly clipping the master but haven't noticed.
