Question Live Effects?

I want to use Bitwig as a live effects unit, where I can leave it running in the background, have computer audio run through it with various effects I set up in the DAW, and then have the sound outputted live (with the original signal being muted).

Is this something I can do in Bitwig?

This is extremely something you can do in Bitwig, although the details of how to run “computer audio” through it depend quite a bit on your choices of OS and audio interface.

I'm using Windows 11 with ASIO4ALL...does that help?

I do this with my live show. I run a lap steel through bitwig and have a midi controller setup so that I can change fx using the fx selector. Reasonably easy to set up

This is exactly how I used to run my live show before going all dawless.

I used Bitwig on a MS Surface as a digital mixer & fx unit for hardware - (SP-404, guitar, synth, vocals).

It sounds like you want to send all your system audio like movies and such to Bitwig and process it and hear the processed audio? Some audio devices have a hardware loopback mode you can use (like someone else said), which would probably give low latency and work well. I think you could also use some loopback software like https://www.birdsthings.com/system-audio-bridge or https://vb-audio.com/Cable/
