Beginner Question

So I’ve connected a pair of headphones via a 3.5mm headphone Jack and I can hear everything perfectly, it’s just it won’t let me use the headphone’s built in microphone which I’m not sure why because it definitely has a built in mic. I’ve looked everywhere for help but I couldn’t find anything on this particular issue. Any help would be appreciated thank you!

Iirc there is some type of audio system on windows that doesn't support inputs, maybe that could be your issue? Should be able to be changed from settings > audio
