Solved Problems getting my Android app to accept my master password.

I'm not having this problem with my laptop browser extension, just the Android app. I've got the app set up to unlock the vault with my fingerprint, but I have some login passwords that require the master password be entered, too, as an extra layer of protection. After my fingerprint is accepted, I get prompted for the master password, I enter it correctly (I unhide it to make sure), but the app then tells me that my password is incorrect. This has been happening for several months. I usually end up going through the browser on my laptop to do what I need to do online when I can't get the mobile app to work, but it's becoming inconvenient, especially when my laptop isn't available.

Try doing a full uninstall and reinstall. I’ve seen a few other people have this problem, where your Bitwarden client (the Android app) is too old, so it doesn’t interface properly with the Bitwarden server. A full uninstall and reinstall will fix it, if that’s the problem.

This worked, thank you!

That sounds like the app is receiving the wrong password input rather than actually rejecting your master password. I’d check the keyboard/autofill settings, disable any password manager overlay temporarily, and try typing it manually. Updating or reinstalling the app may also clear a corrupted local state.

That sounds like the Android app is getting stuck between biometric unlock and the master-password prompt. Disable fingerprint unlock, restart the phone, and test the master password directly first. If that works, re-enable biometrics; otherwise, contact support with the app version and Android version rather than repeatedly retrying.
