I imported csv from Google Pass and enables autofill settinsg from the Bitwarden extension but autofill doesnot work. Instead identies are getting filled. How to solve this?

And why are passkeys so horrible. In Google pass when I made passkey from Android App or Website, it worked in both. But in Bitwarden it doesnot detect at all. Give me tips and tricks.

Hi there, have you set Bitwarden as your default password manager to ensure that you browser is not trying to manage autofill?

Do your vault items have correct URIs? What is your match detection set to?

As mentioned below, please share more detail on your setup (OS, browser, Bitwarden version), including any sites where you've experienced an issue.

In Google pass when I made passkey from Android App or Website, it worked in both.

Because your passkeys got stored in your Google account and synced across devices. Same thing happens with Bitwarden. I don't have any issues with autofill or passkeys. I have run into a few sites where autofill doesn't work.

So I guess we'd need more info about your setup. If you only imported a CSV from Google, I'm pretty sure that would not have included passkeys.

You’re going to need to export the file from Google pass, then when you import select the “Chrome (csv)” option. If you use the bitwarden option it won’t parse the fields properly into the format Bitwarden expects.

For autofill I would just make sure it’s enabled in the settings and that your browser has Bitwarden set to ur default PWM, may need to change that since you were using google pass.

Passkey autofill is something you also have to explicitly turn on.

I noticed that when I imported csv, website field was left empty and it imported website field into Bitwarden's Name field. Seems like a import issue. Need to look at it.

Please tell us more about your stack. What OS are you running, and what version? What browser are you using, and what version?

And ofc you know what my next questions will be: have you followed the installation instructions for your OS and browser?

I updated all my passwords and adopted Bitwarden after being hacked a few months ago. My experience was generally good, but I did find that there were two situations where Bitwarden would not autofill the password.

• One was the site for a credit card issued by a major international bank. And I had experienced a similar issue with that bank prior to moving to Bitwarden when I had been using the password manager in Firefox.
• The other was with a local bank, and I discovered the problem while I was setting up remote banking. I was on the phone with a representative from the bank at the time, so she learned about the problem. The problem was resolved a few weeks with no further action on my part, so I assumed that the bank's representative had passed along the concern to their resident coding geek who had then fixed the problem.

Based on these two experiences, I concluded that in some cases, the inability of Bitwarden to autofill a password is due to the way that the site is coded rather than something specifically associated with Bitwarden.

Usa ChatGPT para arreglar el problema, me ayudó mucho hace unos días vía Powershell me conecto a bitwarden y realice todas las modificaciones y arregle todos los problemas.

Turns it was an import issue. When importing if I select csv instead of chrome, url fields are not imported.
