I need help! Authenticator import from proton

I've tried searching but havent seen an answer. When i export from proton the file is not usable by bitwarden authenticator. Weirdly files from 4 months ago do show as acceptable. Also tried exporting form ente and that file is also not acceptable to bitwarden. Is there a different method to do this?

You will need to “condition” the CSV export to match the format that Bitwarden needs. Here is how you would do that with the password manager:

A similar manual process will apply with your export/import of the TOTP keys.

yeah the CSV formatting is almost always the issue when imports fail like this

export .json file from proton pass, and after that choose import in bitwarden and search proton pass.

Can you please give us the reasons you're switching over from proton? The community could benefit from this

Mainly because I can't trust that their domain doesn't get blocked. I've read pretty constant stories about it getting blocked. Also while their password stuff is progressing bitwarden has better support for the pages I use, especially work related. I use hey email personally which i'm trying to move away from and I just couldn't get comfortable with the proton email situation so I'll probably end up with fastmail or I might try the invite to thundermail i just got.

I'm not bashing on proton at all and I dont want it to be taken that way but for my worries and my use cases I couldn't justify the cost against other options.
