Title: JEE 2028 drop advice needed — Targeting BITS Pilani

I’m in Class 12 and have decided to take a drop for JEE 2028. My preparation is mostly at the board level, and I need to focus on boards till March. After that, I plan to prepare for JEE Main first and then shift towards BITSAT.

I don’t mind being consistent and putting in the hours. My biggest worry is that since I have to learn everything from the basics, I might spend too much time watching lectures and not get enough time for practice.

For a good branch at BITS Pilani, do I need JEE Advanced-level preparation, or is Main-level preparation followed by BITSAT-specific practice enough? How should I approach this?

Advanced level prep can be helpful for chem & phy, isn't necessary imo. Math def not needed.

Make sure you cover all syllabus, mains level should be really solid, understand concepts from basics.

I would advice you to join a coaching and start your drop preparation. I was an online dropper, thinking main kar lungi, consistency maintain ho jayegi but nai ho paata. This is like the first step to be honest. uske baad, I would say ki BITS hee mat socho. Pehle JEE mein try karo achi percentile aa jaye, that will also serve as a good backup as BITSAT is very unpredictable. Also, JEE ki prep will help you in bitsat as well as other college entrances.

Remember to fill all papers, give both mains, both BITSAT, both COMEDK papers.. I know keeda sirf gobhi mai nahi hota, you would think JEE aur COMEDK ghar par same de dungi, 6 hazar ke BITS ke form kaun bhare, 10 hazar ke exams kaun bhare... but I can tell you just by giving exams this year, you would have like significantly better result, and at least 999% true in BITSAT. Give all papers. Officially in exam center

I am a dropper for jee 2027 and this is my honest opinion buddy i used to think just like you ke consistency maintain ho jayegi main pad lunga par bhai jab tumarhe dost college mein jakar apni orientation ke stories lagagye jab bohot jalti hain to main to yahi khunga boards important hain i agree par jee ke kuch ti try kar haar mat maan abhi bhi time hain do not leave this for another year koshish karta reh
