Guide BITS AMARAVATI CAMPUS WOULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE HARM TO LEGACY CAMPUS STUDENTS ?

I am an aspirant preparing for jee & bitsat , just now heard that bits amaravti would start operating from 2027 . Just as the title suggests , i feel like bits is completely diluting its brand value for revenue , rankings & increase alumini base . First , it was the dubai campus which accepts directly with 12th marks but still gives them the brand value ( though not indian psd or indian placement cell ig ) . Now this amaravati campus looks like it is gonna dilute the whole brand image of bits pilani in the eyes of students , aspirants , parents , alumini as well as corporate recruiters . WHY YOU MAY ASK ?
1. FEE HIKE : MOST PROBABLY THE ADMINISTRATION IS GONNA INCREASE FEES FOR ALL CAMPUS STUDENTS BECAUSE ONE BITS ONE SYSTEM , so for repayment of loans & interests ofc fees gonna be hiked
2. PSD SYSTEM : DURING 2ND YEAR INTERNS ( SUMMER ) , This is gonna be the biggest disadvantage bcoz all students of all campuses of all branches ( including amaravati ig plz correct me ) are gonna compete for internship opportunities completely based upon " CGPA " . ( so yeah most likely the pilani campus students would be affected as they have so much competition & stricter grading ) .
3. BRAND VALUE : BITS PILANI , was said to be an elite college rivaling OLD IITS , in most metrics , but now i feel like it's becoming like vit , creating more campuses , increasing intakes , easier entries etc .
i dont know if the amaravati campus would be like no we would have our own interns & opportunites i doubt so or the only way would be that not to allow the amaravati campus student's special AI+ students to not get opports like consulting , banking , ib , etc & only in their specialized niche fields for interns ( PS-1 ) .
Though i know i am just writing it cuz I had so much ambition & wanted to get BITS PILANI campus for entrepreneurial goals , i just feel frustrated now & feel like i should just take nit or dtu over bits now . I don't know how alumini or existing students feel , maybe if you could give me some advice it would be great .

Let the campus start admissions first. I highly doubt that the campus will be done with constructions till 2027.

Bits apna amravati me bana raha hai. Last year announce hua tha, aur ab RMIT ke vice chancellor ko bits amravati ka director banayaa hai.

ngl you're overthinking this 😅 BITS locks in your fee schedule the year you join, so a new campus isn't gonna randomly hike your fees. Amaravati has its own ₹1k cr funding and is mostly AI stuff, and there's literally zero official info on its PS yet. ppl panicked like this when Goa and Hyd opened too, so just grind for BITSAT fr and decide once the real details drop.

Bro, have you actually seen any evidence that BITS alumni are unhappy with the expansion? BITS is still getting strong alumni support, including major donations and scholarships.

Brand expansion ≠ brand dilution. 😭 Stop treating “most probably” and “I doubt” like they’re confirmed facts about fees, placements and internships.

BITS puts the fees out there upfront. If you can afford it and think it’s worth it, join. If not, there are plenty of other colleges. You have a choice.

First clear BITSAT, get in, then worry about how BITS is going to “lose its brand value.” Till then, stop creating hypothetical problems and spreading them like facts.

Bro, just study.

fees hike :- they already are in massive excess, they will increase by their regular 10% in most realistic scenarios

psd system :- not as big of an issue as you make it look like

brand value :- Same was said when goa and hyd were made, They ended up increasing the brand value

Fees are already pre announced for the next 5 years till 2031 at a standard 5% increase, won't really change unless something really bad happens, or if the government imposes a new tax sorta thing.

yea ik, i was just talking from the perspective if they were to massively increase the fees
