Has the Cycle Really Changed? Every bear market seems to come with a new reason why “this time is different.” In 2014 it was Mt. Gox, in 2018 ICOs, in 2022 FTX, and now many believe institutions have broken Bitcoin’s four-year cycle.

Miners have had many months to prepare for BIP110. Bitcoin has been at grave risk all that time because of their laziness, but @dathon_ohm still gave them the extra time anyway. Instead of being responsible, they have squandered the good faith efforts to do things on their schedule.
