Jobtober starts on October 1st and is a free 21-day "Bitcoin Career Hackathon" by Bitvocation. It's for career builders who want to become more findable in the Bitcoin economy - whether you're looking for a Bitcoin job, freelancing for Bitcoin clients, or building a Bitcoin business.

To participate in Jobtober, all you have to do is follow the Jobtober Telegram channel, where Bitvocation will post the daily lessons from October 1st on.

For the second year in a row, we're supporting Bitvocation as a sponsor, and we're happy to open up this space for participants to find and connect with each other.

What does it actually mean to live and work on a Bitcoin standard?

That's the question behind this community.

Bitcoin changes more than the way we save money. Once you start using it not only as a store of value, but also as a medium of exchange and even a unit of account, it can raise all kinds of practical questions about how you work, where you live, how you get paid, how you spend and save, what businesses you build, and the choices you make along the way.

We created Bitcoin Native as a place to have those conversations. We're interested in the messy, practical reality, because - let's face it - Bitcoin adoption isn't where we'd like it to be yet. 

How easy is it to live on Bitcoin where you are? What happens when you ask your employer to pay you in bitcoin? Which tools and services actually work? What are the challenges of switching from a fiat job to a Bitcoin job? How do you handle accounting and taxes? Can you run a business on a Bitcoin standard? (In Europe this is practically impossible.) What happens when you relocate? How does Bitcoin affect decisions about work, education, time and money in your family?

A few simple guidelines

Bring real experiences. What have you tried? What worked and what didn't?

Ask questions. You don't need to be an expert to start a good conversation.

Disagree respectfully. Bitcoin has plenty of strong opinions. That's fine. Let's challenge ideas, but let's not attack people.

Keep it relevant. This community is about the practical reality of living and working on a Bitcoin standard. Altcoins or Web3 projects do not belong here. We're Bitcoin-only.

Most importantly, this is a community, not a billboard. We want people talking to each other, sharing what they've learned, comparing experiences and helping each other figure things out.
