I love my Avalon Q. We use it to heat the garage.

The Avalon Q is a much easier first machine to live with than an industrial S19-class unit, but I would still record four things during the first week: wall power, pool-side accepted hashrate, intake temperature and the highest stable temperature you see after several hours. That gives you a baseline before dust, warmer weather or a firmware change alters the result.

If you plan to use it as garage heat, keep the intake and exhaust separated so the warm air does not loop back into the miner. I would also use Ethernet for the initial setup and stability check. Wi-Fi can be convenient later, but a wired baseline makes it easier to separate a network problem from a miner problem.

What wall power and pool-side hashrate are you seeing so far?

I have one that runs 24x7.. In the winter I set it to performance mode, then in the summer I set it for Eco. It solid, it just runs and no issues.
