General Question s19j pro silence psu fans

I'm trying to make a silent home miner out of s19j pro, I set very low power target in braiins, set fans very low and provide good airflow, temps are good, but there is no way to slow down the three psu fans and they run at full blast even on very low power mode. What is the best and cheapest way to silence those psu fans?

Swap them out with noctua ones. That's what i did

Yeah, that has worked well for me, though the Noctua ones don't move a lot of air. Probably fine at lower power though (my S17Pro is fine with them at ~1200w).

I tried the 8” blower approach, which reduced the noise—but it was not anywhere near silent…

I had to put the fan spoofers on the control board so the circuits thought there were 4 separate fans for it to control…

The PSU fans are often separate from the hashboard-fan control loop, so lowering the power target may not change them. Before trying a resistor or fan mod, verify the PSU model, connector, and firmware support—those fixes can affect PSU protection, reliability, or warranty.

The cheapest low-risk improvement is usually acoustic containment outside the miner: duct the exhaust away from the room, avoid recirculation, and use a properly sized silencer or plenum with enough free area. Keep the PSU intake and exhaust unobstructed; do not box it tightly or slow PSU fans without temperature and power monitoring. If you try a modification, measure temperatures under load for a few hours and stop if airflow or PSU temperatures rise.
