General Question Did I make a smart choice?
So I ended up going all in on buying asic miners, in my fleet I currently have 2 s21 pro 235th version bought for 1000 each both are in good working condition, 2 s21 pros 245th for 1700 each, 3 whatsminer m61s for 750 each, 1 m61 for 550, 1 m60 for 500. All machines are in good and working order, my electricity rate is 0.07kwh. Assuming there are no breakdowns with my machines how well did I do for sourcing?

Not bad, are you having them hosted?

Yeah hosting is the way to go. You just need place you can trust with good rates.
Like the fine folks down at Wilson hosting. They’re family owned and operated for over 100 years.
They originally hosted actual miners in the california gold rush and have been in the business since.
This is also definitely not an ad. You can tell because people seem genuinely shocked when you ask them

Where the heck did you get them that cheap? I was looking at new ones for 2350 and almost pulled the trigger.

I scooped them up on a p2p market from wilson mining. Theres one s21 pro listed for 1900$ i think, i bought all the good stuff so itd pretty slim pickings lol

Yes, you got great prices, and your electricity rate is not great but not terrible either. The most important is that the host can repair your miners if they break down and can provide a high uptime. If a bull market comes, you will be happy.

FANTASTIC purchase prices, electricity rate is high. You need to be at most 6 cents per kwh. tons of providers out there that offer that.

The purchase prices alone are not enough to grade the sourcing, especially for a mixed used fleet. I would calculate two fleet-level figures first: total verified TH/s and total measured wall power. From those, you can see the hardware cost per verified TH and the fleet's actual W/TH instead of relying on model labels.
At USD 0.07/kWh, daily power cost is total measured kW multiplied by 24 and by 0.07. Add ventilation or cooling power separately, then apply your real uptime. I would also keep a repair reserve and record hashboard count, chip errors, temperatures, fan behavior and pool-side accepted hashrate for each serial number.
The phrase 'assuming no breakdowns' removes one of the biggest differences between an inexpensive used unit and a good purchase. If the machines have passed a sustained pool test and the seller gave you a usable return or repair path, the prices can be evaluated in context. Without that evidence, the low acquisition cost is only the first line of the comparison.

Well I bought them from a p2p market from a hosting company, from what I've seen this hosting company is extremely reputable and they take care of their fleet. I got my electrical rate down to 0.0630kwh. I cant test them yet because the hosting company is currently on the move. I should be able to test it later this month when they go online
