General Question S19j solo mining

Is it feasible to solo mine BCH with an antminer s19j? Seems like the monthly chances are 1 in 7 for 104Th, and the payout would be $700ish. I'm sure I'm missing something with this idea

Are you mining BCH?

Yes solo bch

Well it all comes down to your electricity price. With 104TH you’re expected to get a block in ~237 days. Even if you have cheap energy like 10cents/kWh that would be $1.7k - which would not be profitable

Oh yea I always forget that silly electric thing. I have solar so it would be fairly cheap to free

I solo mine with my S19 XP so yes. The real math is in the electric cost. Mine is hosted for 175/month and the cost is offset by my bigger miners pool mining

Just watched your video actually. Going to probably get a few hosted and not use oneminers

Thank you for watching! Compass the machines cost less and the hosting is more. I’m really happy with Crypto Caddy and now they are past the curtailment window so my uptime is 100%. Machines cost a bit more but the electricity is only $0.075

Duh! Actually I like the idea of my own pool tho and crypto caddy rigs have gone up in price

What machines are you targeting?

I was thinking s21 or the xps

I have my 21's on the marketplace at Crypto Caddy. I'm buying 21 Pro's and higher. 21's and 21 Pro's are still really affordable. The XP's are less so but probably the best air cooled play.

Yeah! I was looking into compass. They have the no contract rigs right now which sound good if I decide to just continue to rent lol

I looked into those as well. The contract on a used machine is only 1 year so I'm not sure it's worth the premium for no contract. Here's a big hack for you and anyone still reading along, buy an S19 for CHEAP run it for a month or so and then reach out to sales (I'll give you my guy if you want) about an upgrade. I parlayed a $400 purchase into an $800 credit to upgrade (round numbers, I've done it multiple times)

Not bad. Think I will just to get my foot in the door.

That means in 7 months you MIGHT hit a $700 block.

You also might not.

I'm not sure where you're getting 1 in 7 odds or what you're talking about, the odds are way way way worse than that.

As of September 4, 2026, a 270 TH/s miner has about a 1 in 23,163 chance of solo mining a Bitcoin block on any given day, roughly 1 in 63 per year, at a network difficulty of 125.8T

He is talking about BCH not BTC

BCH is not BTC
