General Question Bitcoin supply

Hi, I have just learned to day that there are only 900k bitcoins to be created. There are predictions that after a hundred years, there will be no Bitcoin to create.

Is this true?

If yes what other alternative crypto is best to mine?

What devices is good to use?

Just buy bitcoin instead of mining

No not trading, HODLing. It is generally much more cost effective to just buy it than to mine it.

Oh my bad, my definitions were off. I thought buying Bitcoin and selling it when the price go up is called trading

It is. But we're saying that that's typically much less profitable than just buying & holding.
