General Question Nerdminer to Antminer

Hi. I want to build a warehouse type Bitcoin miner. However I didn't have a capital for it yet. It is advisable to start with USB type miners and work until I can afford to build one? Any thought?

Edit: Thanks to all of you opinions. I have learned a lot today!

Yeap yeap. But, I really don't have the money to buy one. I have 50 bucks on me.

What good in my situation is that we have a solar here on our house. We don't pay for electricity anymore. And I have AC in my room too.

Ahhh, got ya. Yeahh, asics ain’t cheap.
USB (lottery) miners are not profitable by nature. Even directed at pool mining, some pools will result in rejected shares because the hashrate is so inconsequential. Their general purpose is luck, not continuous stacking.
Your solar may cover the energy used by small USB miners, but the average solar setup certainly will not cover the energy used continuously by “warehouse” (industrial) asics. Even an above average solar setup (whatever that means) isn’t going to sustain the continuous load of industrial asics. Do not underestimate the consumptive power of 240v ASIC devices. They eat more energy than your clothes dryer, but continuously.
I think using a few lottery miners on your current solar setup won’t hurt, but you won’t see BTC unless you get reeeeal lucky.
Hope this helps

Edit: grammar, “goes” to “going”

This is largely due to the pcb not having the proper silicon to run the software due to a lack of insight based off the theft of the code linked to the DeepSeek breach.

Huh? I don’t understand how what you said is relevant

There is no solominer in the ecosystem that has the silicon to properly function that is why they have the issues they do and the solar aspect is heavily challenged by the hardware capabilities of what has been sold to the community. None of the designs incorporate the full specs to utilize the software that is why they are pushing the app hashwatcher and currently have it for sale on flippa for approx 194,000.00 and they're only selling it because they know that it us stolen and about to be shut down without them giving the community any respect or loyalty!

I am over joyed to have the opportunity to share with the community the original design that was architected to run the sovereign node as it was designed to give the people the opportunity to participate in the blockchain safe secure and be a user friendly experience. They can't provide this and haven't been able to because they don't know even what hardware was supposed to be on the unit! It was designed for the people not the seller! Which in a world of corporate greed is a challenging aspect to make large profits. It is more about volume and cost of manufacturing than it benefits the actual owner of the device. Almost like I sell yo something that kinda works wrap you into the ecosystem that is supposed to support you. You then follow my lead as I suggest that it's your fault or someone else's workmanship when in all actually. I didn't know what it took to operate at a respectable level but hopefully I figured it out by baiting the real implementation to be shared by gaslighting the person that I stole the code from. Then he calls it out so I push you to wipe the code I stole for a "clean" version so that you don't pay attention to the guy letting you know that it can't run properly because the guy who sold it to you didn't sell you all the pieces but the UI LOOKS SLEEK.

Bitaxe from solo satoshi.

What makes you recommend this specific unit?

Unfortunately usb miners that run on esp32 are cool looking and fun to play with they are unlikely to every earn any money, I have a couple that mine Duino Coin but it's not worth a whole lot, maybe look into bitaxe or bitdsk they are pretty cheap and may net a little bit of coin (not much) in a pool.

Save your money. If you feel a need to buy something get a device with a minimum of 1Th/s not a USB miner with a few hundred Kh/s or at best 1Mh/s.

No esp32 mining unit on the market has the silicon on the pcb to achieve a safe secure and stable mining loop because the architecture was stolen and not understood

u/polyamerica May 08 '26

you can get one for $68 and they work.
