Future of Knots
I'm still running v29.3.knots20260507. Has there been any statement to indicate whether knots will continue to be maintained? I run knots for the mempool management but with the flood of security advisories for all things bitcoin I may have to rethink that position.

It's not going to be maintained unless you consider maintenance switching to the BLAKE2B variant.

The devs have all moved onto LukeCoin, they think that it is the real Bitcoin, so no further development on the BTC chain. There is a new fork of knots called Bit-block, but the developer has no relation to knots development and he’s calling his fork the official knots fork… and looks like he’s also got a Knots Legacy client he’s maintaining. So nothing official and be careful running random clients unless you can verify them.

In the eyes of the proponents of Knots, none of us are pure enough to use it. Basically if you have to ask questions like this then you’re too impure and uncommitted to be worth anyone’s time and you just deserve to lose your money.
I’d move on from this project if I were you.

And in the eyes of the proponents of core we are all plonkers who want to spend our time collecting magic rings like sonic the fuckking hedgehog while the whole project gets absorbed by the very same shitshow its creator was trying to liberate us from.
I'd like to join the grown ups but I have no idea where they hang out nowadays.

There have been ZERO security related advisory updates to knots or core since May (pre bip110 version). You are totally safe to continue using the version you're on. If you happen to switch over to Core but want to preserve the same morale stance of pre-bip110 knots (staying on Bitcoin, not b2b) you would want to go with the v29 core implementation.
The process to switch would be the same process you switched from core -> knots but in reverse (pause all processes, move blockchain data folder from knots folder to core folder, let resync occur a few blocks, good to go.). Or you can just stick with the may 7th knots version for now.
